  1. In issue 219 the moon raker show rod has me wondering if Atlantis got those kit molds. Definitely a trip down memory lane.
  2. The chassis are the same for all the funny car kits so if they have the rest the can reissue them.
  3. Wind up toy cars can still be fun in world full of advanced electronics and technology and the beauty is there are no batteries that need replacing.
  4. Seems to be a typical problem. Once the word is out it the bargains aren't there any more.
  5. Exactly. And I find it interesting that everyone.complains about the ebay fees but expect the vendors to use them. Best to plan ahead to order before you need it quickly.
  6. Got m8ne yesterday. Another great issue. Each issue is better than the last. Great content mix.
  7. Great photos and photography. Thank you for sharing them.
  8. Coming along nicely.
  9. Even if it's not a project with a lot of work an out of the box project can come to a screeching halt with a bad combination of paints. Definitely a way to get frustrated and have to strip a project.
  10. I think the plan all along was to have the show continue on. But there was no one to take it over and thus the decision to end it. If there had been some one to take the reins then it would have continued. Running the show was a major took quite a bit of the time with a limited volunteer group. Unfortunately at this point I really don't see the show being resurrected.
  11. Yup every journey begins with the first step. And the journey is just a chain of steps. Keep up the good work.
  12. Great news. Always enjoy Doug's video. It was a treat to see such a detailed view of Randy's amazing corvette. In the past we were lucky to see a few photographs or maybe view it in person.
  13. Exactly. And just because mixing and matching might work once or twice that's no guarantee that is going to work every time.
  14. Great news. Looks like a lot of fun. Glad you were around to do it. As a heart attack survivor each 1 year anniversary is something to be grateful for. And
  15. Basically the same reason this was the last contest. There was no one to take the reins.
  16. Does anyone have a list of all the gsl best of show winners. I tried looking on the gsl championship page. Also tried the museum page but it is in transition and much of the information that was there is gone.
  17. Sucks is what a vacuum cleaner does when you clean with it.
  18. Exactly and that's probably what a parts pack engine would end up costing. An added plus is left over parts for trading or other projects.
  19. Hope he is doing well. Sounds like he went through a very tough time. Very sad. His parts were amazing. A big loss for the modeling community.
  20. Glad you had a great time Dave. Can't wait to see more about the show. A suggestion for the magazine would be a special gsl 2023 contest coverage issue. Just a thought.
  21. Here is a link to Randy Derrs 2023 GSL Winning corvette.
  22. For those who attended gsl. It's was mentioned Randy Derr took best in show 2023. Does that make him a 4 or 5 best in show winner. He won one with his 1/12th Cameron, a 1/25th scale Camaro, and his 1/12 th scale dirt car. And then this year's corvette. Are there any others. Who else has won multiple gsl best in shows.
  23. See what you want to see when you live in a fantasy world full of delusions.
  24. A number of years back there Gregg had created a separate page for buying and selling auction type page separate from this forum and the magazine. Unfortunately no one wanted to use it because there was not a lot on it. There was a call to post stuff but it didn't happen. Then the forum and magazine websites were hacked. Everything was down for a number of days. The buying and selling page was rebuilt but nobody wanted to use it and it went away.
  25. I wonder how the judges got the judging all done. There had been years that they barely got done by the Sunday awards brunch. If the level of quality is what ii think it is the judging was a monumental task.
