Well done. Nice airbrushing work. Best way to learn to do something is try it. Great idea doing a practice build.

Dealing with the suffering from Dementia
bobthehobbyguy replied to NYLIBUD's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
First off has he been diagnosed. Also has he had his hearing checked. Hearing loss can cause memory issues. Also look into finding a caregiver group for dementia. They will be able to help you with your questions. -

Looked at the error. It showed there was a new certificate dated today. Figure that was causing the issue. Seems to be OK now.

Somehow I am not surprised this was a hoax. Unfortunately social media is a common breeding ground for rumors and incorrect information which some are too willing to believe. Have better things to do with my time.

Need Help with Brush Painting
bobthehobbyguy replied to Horrorshow's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Nice brush painting. What brand paints are you using and what paint to thinner ratio? -
Don't see the need for rules rather maybe an etiquette guide for the board.

So, guess I don’t have to wash my wife’s car this weekend
bobthehobbyguy replied to OldNYJim's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Glad your wife is OK. The unfortunate thing is every time you get in your car these days you have to run a gauntlet of stupid people. -
Winnebago project completed!

Nicely done. Definitely something different. Doubt it's something that would be kitted. -
Can't Edit Topic Heading...Again
bobthehobbyguy replied to Straightliner59's topic in How To Use This Board
I'm sure the mods can modify the titles but don't think it is practical. I'm sure that have better things to do when they are on the site. We just have to be patient till the potential spam issues are resolved. -
Spraying acrylic paint
bobthehobbyguy replied to dragstk's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
If you are using water-based paint you can't wet sand as that is going to soften the paint no longer how long its dried. You have to dry sand. -
Great news. Thanks for the update. Glad he was able to make a full recovery.

bobthehobbyguy replied to Steve H's topic in WIP: Model Cars
I agree. But to me the goal of preserving kits is so they can be built. And some believe that only certain styles of builds are appropriate. Just saying there is room for both philosophies.- 220 replies
