  1. The 64 Moebius Chevy II is a Hardtop. But the 65 is a sedan (different roofline)
  2. Have 2 plus 1 PE set. And EM series can be fidgety to build. Take your time and test fit often.
  3. I'd preorder except that we're getting ready for the moving van to show up in a few days
  4. This just popped up for preordering
  5. No problem. My unbuilt EM's are in boxes waiting for the movers to start loading, so can't get to them. Fortunately, these folks did have the instructions online.
  6. What version did you get? There are some versions that are simpler than the original EM series but include many of the trees. Gio here for a detail instruction and compare to what you got https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/image/10070285
  7. Got the 65 Coupe and Convertible plus the 66 Coupe, all yet to be built
  8. Thanks, forgot about that site for instructions. Just was not into digging into the move boxes to find it.
  9. Interesting. I know of the Polar Lights kit. But, there was a 64 Tempest GTO hardtop annual AMT kit. AMT 64 Tempest GTO instructions I have a 64 Tempest LeMans Convertible kit packed away for the move, so I can't tell if it also has the GTO option as well.
  10. I have some of the GM car and truck handles and they are great. Everything he does is top notch!!
  11. Well I am a member of SABA and used to be in the PSAMA when in Seattle area. Sad that PSAMA seems to have folded.
  12. Neat. Northwest of Sand Point? We used to live in Bellevue, now near Portland.
  13. I just inserted the email. I got a confirmation email just a few moments ago confirming it is legit
  14. Dear Modelhaus Customers, This e-mail is being sent to all addresses that are affiliated with the web site. Our orders are all shipped and we have inventoried all the remaining stock. We have uploaded the remaining inventory, both kits and parts, onto the web site and it will open again the morning of Aug. 25 (this Saturday). We envision it will remain open for a week to ten days. We are giving you some advance notice so you can take the time to assess your needs. Please know that the inventory is limited. Only those items that are still available will be listed and only in the quantity we have. The web site will be able to track the sale of items and when the inventory for a particular part reaches zero, you will be unable to add that item to your shopping cart even though the part is still listed on the site. It is possible that you can add a part to your cart but it will not show up in your cart at the time of the sale. The inventory is adjusted for sale only when an order is actually placed. If you and another customer both add the last of a particular part to your cart, but the other customer checks out first, he will get the item. Sales will only be accepted from the web site. No orders will be taken by phone or by regular mail. The only way to track the inventory is by the web site. This may anger some of our customers who prefer to order via the regular mail. We are sorry, but at this point, we have to do what is manageable and the web orders are the only way to manage the inventory. Though we are retiring the business as you have known it, we are not completely stopping. Don’s favorite part of the business has always been developing new kits. In the past three years he has not been able to develop anything new as we dealt with the onslaught of orders generated by our announced retirement. He had several ideas for new kits that he still wants to pursue. We are not 100% sure how this will play out. He hopes to develop one to two kits a year for a while. We will figure a way to get the word out when a kit is available. The tires we have offered will be available again soon. Our son Chris has worked for us for many years. Several years ago he moved the tire making to his home and we have purchased tires from him. All the particulars have not been worked out. The web site will be www.modelhaustires.com. We will most likely send another mass e-mail when he is ready to be up and running. It has been a pleasure to serve the modeling community for 30 plus years. We will not miss the work, but will miss the connections we have made with so many great modelers over the years. Thank you for all your orders which have made this such a successful business. We wish you all the best! Cordially, Don and Carol Holthaus
  15. I see they're heading out from Carillon Point. Which is a nice place to start.
  16. Since we’re back in Illinois doing final packing, I was able to go to a nearby Car Show that had a variety of different cars, from classics to 50’s to customs to muscle to modern. I took photos of the most interesting ones and they are in the linked Flickr Album. Flickr Show Album
  17. I like that kind of thinking!! Similar thoughts on my part.
  18. Well, the two most common would be be worm gear or rack and pinion.
  19. A 68 would tickle mine. Although a 68 Z/28 more so as I owned one. And I got the Modelhaus conversion kit about 3 years back.
  20. I am with you on that. AFAIK, Revell never did a 68 or 69 Chevelle. only the 65 and 67. Would be nice though.
  21. Yeah. Not great. On the real car, it would sit on top of the carburetor with a small cage. The air filter itself goes into the hood cavity and the foam seals the area with the hood closed. HRM does a better version if you're going for that.
  22. Double that. BIll was spot on in his comment as well
  23. Exactly. The definition is quite nebulous. Some "gunmetal" I have seen is a very dark gray and but with a more "metallic" sheen than charcoal gray.
