I currently own the Airfix kit and it's a bit of a basket case at the moment. Hopefully I can build it up right with parts from the Revell. I am curious to see how the new kit looks!

WIP: CSX2259. 1st of 5 FIA Cobras built. Having trouble with the front fender spats. Car has been seen frequently competing at the Monterey Historic Races at Laguna Seca.

I actually got my hands on an original kit today and someone swapped out the Fastback parts for the convertible. What I would like to do is find either original Fastback parts or even reissue parts to help restore this classic kit. Everything else is dead mint, and the convertible body is shot. The windshield frame is broken, and the bottoms of the front fenders near the nose have been shaved down or cut off.

You're absolutely right. I seriously hope they bring back the '68 Hemi Under Glass, and that is a holy grail of mine.

I will be watching this build closely because I have the same kit and really want to improve it.

I had the same problem with the Dunlop tires as well.

I wonder how the Revell release compares to the old Airfix kit which I have.
