  1. It's a toss-up between the show stopper or the sentimental heart throb.
  2. Cool. Is it just me or.......
  3. This is cool. I love it.
  4. You are correct. Though the line originated with The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, but it's often misquoted. Your guess is correct for this exact wording.
  5. "Badges? We don't need no stinking badges." Careful.
  6. That's pretty good Pete. It's not often you see model body damage that passes the scrutiny test.
  7. Wow. Spectacular. You did a great job on an impeccably mastered kit.
  8. Love the long bed. Someone should resin kit that bed and 8-lugs.
  9. This looks really cool. I wasn't familiar with this kind of Olds in NASCAR. I quite like.
  10. Being a Ridley Scott disciple, I like Blade Runner and Alien. Also John Carpenter's The Thing. Those were cutting edge sci fi films at the time and that's how I sentimentally view them. I also like District 9. 31 Days of Oscar on TCM is about the best network TV watching there is. A great way to discover some of the best movies filmed.
  11. Amazing clean details and definitely captures a specific and familiar look. Nice work.
  12. I figured it was heat tinting with some new or refurbished blocks added. With it just metal against metal, it makes me wonder how they can even make make a part without flash oozing everywhere, but still get clean, tiny detail parts just fine.
  13. Whoa. Wasn't expecting that. You really did some work here, lots of subtle details. Excellent.
  14. Everything looks right. Wonderful models.
  15. Some nice innovations. Beautiful.
  16. Pretty cool Pat. Great color choice and overall look.
  17. This year of Plymouth is easily my all time favorite NASCAR, along with Petty's and others. Excellent redo of a hard to find model. Looks sassy.
  18. This was an assignment in my commercial art class some years ago. We had to make an illustration using only cheap tempera water paints. We were only given the three prime colors of red, yellow and blue along with black and white to lighten and darken. All colors, hues, shades, etc had to be made by blending only prime colors. Temperas are cheap and fast drying, so challenging, but fun.
  19. Kind of amazing how much clean plastic can get through those tiny gates connecting the part to the sprue
  20. Monogram Cherry Bomb. I look at this not so much as a bonus, but part of the kit's whole unit theme. Same the other Monogram combos. Some of the bonuses in those early annuals don't seem very theme oriented and therefore more like a true "extra."
  21. That's because there'd already been a thread the last few years, but I guess there's always room for updates and refresh.
  22. Link from the December mailing... http://www.gslchampionship.org/news/ Only says to mention "GSL" to get the group rate at the Sheraton.
  23. Looking good. Can't say I've ever seen this version.
  24. Casey, I think the context you're providing is invaluable. I had no idea so many custom pieces were thrown into one kit and showing the instructions with the parts called out really cuts down on speculation of where something came from.
