  1. Thanks, Kurt. It has issues, but it's done; and I've learned some things for next time.
  2. The Charger is done! Here is the Under Glass thread: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/122342-florida-highway-patrol-2006-dodge-charger/
  3. Managed to finish up my Florida Highway Patrol 2006 Dodge Charger today. It's been a long haul. It has some issues, but it's done. Would I build another Lindberg Dodge Charger kit? Yes, I believe I would. Would I do it as a FHP car? Absolutely not!
  4. Ben, that's the same as the Pioneer Plastics case 576C, except it comes with a plastic display base. I use the 576C almost exclusively for my trucks.
  5. Check with Pioneer Plastics: https://www.pioneerplastics.com/product-category/display-case/diecast/
  6. Great looking old Fleetstar. Well done.
  7. Thanks. Hopefully by the end of the weekend.
  8. I'm seeing light at the end of the tunnel! (and it's not the headlamp of an oncoming train this time) It's getting there. Not perfect, but I'm pleased after all of the trouble this build has been.
  9. That looks real kinda nice, Tom. Very well done. Yes, the engine is a Caterpillar 3408T.
  10. Looking nice. Some spokes would work well.
  11. Kenworth painted engines white until some time in the early 1970s (1974, I think?), after that it was OEM color. When is doubt, it's always safe to go with the OEM color. I'm not that familiar with the Revell K100 kit, but from the photos I've seem Id say that it's probably late 1970s to early 1980s.
  12. There's probably less parts that the B-1B landing gear, too.
  13. That looks great. Weathering & details are spot on. Very well done.
  14. Nice little aircraft. Well done.
  15. That's a really nice looking 379. Well done.
  16. Great looking K100, KJ. Well done. Looking forward to seeing this at the Spring Thaw show.
  17. So I was driving home today from West Chester, PA, on I-476 & I-81; and I must have passed about 20 to 25 trucks from Seaborne Intermodal or Seaway Intermodal, or something like that; and they were all pulling three axle container trailers with either a 20ft or 40ft container. While that in and of itself isn't all that exciting, I did see on one of the trailers something that looked like a warning sticker. I think it said "Disk brakes. 35% Shatter Rate." This can't be right, can it? It doesn't seem right that the DOT, or the Canadian equivalent as these trucks were from Canada, would allow brakes with a 35% failure rate on a vehicle. Maybe I read the sticker wrong, but it does seem strange.
  18. Thanks. The color I used was Dupli-Color Santa Fe Tan which is sort of a cream colored tan. The car was originally painted Dupli-Color Sweet Cream over black, which is actually closer to the FHP scheme. Tbill did the painting & polishing on this one for me (twice, I think). From Wikipedia: "The paint scheme of black and tan (cream) has no correlation with the road color or the grass color. The traditional paint scheme is unique to the FHP and has been the color of the cars as long as the FHP has utilized patrol vehicles. The paint adds $657 to the purchase of each vehicle. Prior to sale, the patrol defaces the cars so that they cannot be misconstrued as official law enforcement vehicles. The defaced, two-tone paint deflates each car's resale value by approximately $400. It is a misdemeanor crime in Florida to operate a car in the colors of the FHP."
