Wow! excellent build, it could easily be mistaken for a full size rig! -
Excellent job! Creative, unique idea and tremendous execution! Roth would approve!

Super nice work! Great color choice and stance!

That is certainly true, but why not use kits that would tie in with Rat Fink better? Round 2 has dozens of hot rod or 50's cars that would make way more sense. Some of which have not been reissued recently. I don't think truck guys are going to buy this version and probably only a limited number of diehard RF collectors will be into this because it really doesn't fit. I can see this being a flop now, but being sought after down the line because it is so weird.

Outstanding work! Nice detailing, especially on the engine!

That's really cool! You really nailed the late 60's street machine/street race look.

Motor trend super models
larman replied to R. Thorne's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Just watched these, kind of cringey when he is sloppy with the super glue and when he pulled parts from the Johan Roadrunner to build a mundane turd version of the Little Red Wagon, but he is entertaining and I liked the awb Fairmont and some of the info about the real cars he adds. As mentioned elsewhere, it is a little like a model version of "Roadkill". Here is my take on the Silver Bullet from back around 2003, or so..... -

Beautiful work! -
The kit is being issued again soon, this time with complete detail. It will have a stock engine, an extra Hemi race engine and a trailer. Of course, I bought 3 of the curbside '63 wagon kits when they first came out, not knowing they were going to do this. I am lucky enough to have a stock 6 cylinder from the original AMT '64 Chevelle wagon, which fits in the Nova wagon and is pretty close to correct, it needs a few small things to be right. I also was able to get a stock engine from the Trumpeter Nova kit for a pretty decent price, so I can build 2 stock ones of the first release. The other one is going to be a Hot Rod "Drag Week" type car with a twin turbo LS engine if I ever get around to building it.

Nice job! It is always nice to see a modeler with the determination to overcome. I tend to not be one of those builders......? -
I had all of those at one time or another and at the time they were quite common. I was around 18 then. Quite honestly, I thought they weren't as good as the AMT and Monogram offerings at the time. The bodies looked good, but some seemed out of scale like the Roadrunner and Superbird. Most had very simple engines, interiors and chassis and sometimes incorrect ones for the car. They were often molded in funky colors like dark green, orange, yellow, etc. and had excessive flash. Wheels and tires were usually undersized and not interchangeable with other brands. The classic car, Eldorado, Toronado, funny cars and pro stock kits had nice detail and some great parts though. I guess it is because they are old now and won't ever be reissued that people are so interested in them.

Great detailing! The interior and decal work is outstanding!

Super nice! Looks great in color.

Beautiful paint and workmanship! A fantastic build, as well as the other 2 in the collection! They look great together.
-
Ok. I hope I didn't come off as a WA, or know-it-all. I was just mentioning it in case you didn't know. The car is coming along very nicely! As far as the roll bar, what is wrong with it?
-
Not to nitpick, but if you are going for an authentic vintage gasser, it would have a front passenger seat. They were required for the class.

Super nice job! Great stance and details!

Really nice job! We had a '78 Short bed Adventurer, my dad bought it new. I would love to find a resin short bed so I could build a model of it. -
I was saving all the posts of peoples builds of this kit on here and the Spotlight Hobbies site in a Fotki folder. After a while, I stopped, but here are the ones I got. I also did it for the '30 Coupe. https://public.fotki.com/larman/revell-29-roadster-/ https://public.fotki.com/larman/revell-1930-ford-coupe/
