Not to nitpick, but if you are going for an authentic vintage gasser, it would have a front passenger seat. They were required for the class.

Really nice job! We had a '78 Short bed Adventurer, my dad bought it new. I would love to find a resin short bed so I could build a model of it.

So cool! Great job! I think the Days of Thunder cars had great paint schemes, better than many of the "real" cars running at the time.

I bought the convertible. I am in for 2 or 3 of these. Nice to see the attention to detail added to this one with the emblems, decals and engine upgrades.

The real car is a 2 door sedan.The Amt '55 would be the closest plastic kit to start with. A new tool Revell '55 hardtop might be more accurate, but you would have to graft a sedan roof on, probably from the Revell '56 recently issued. You could also start with an American Graffiti diecast, if you can find one for a decent price and you don't mind diecast. None of these have a flip nose, that will have to be fabricated.
