  1. Hmmm. That could indicate "proxy" bidders who are working with the seller, bidding it up, and going too far.

Fantastic job, what a great diorama!
  3. Great job! It may have started as a low buck die-cast, but you turned it into a super model!
  4. Nicely done! I like the Pontiac engine! My dad had that era Chevy pickup with an Olds 394 in it for a short time back in the early 70's. That sort of swap was certainly done back then.
  5. Wow! Great job! Nice weathering and dirt. Also nice work on all the detailing.

Great job! I always liked that paint scheme!
  7. Nice rescue! The improvements you made make a big difference!
  8. Nice job! Both look great!
  9. The kit may be poor, but you did a super job on it! One of the best builds of that kit I have seen!
  10. Wow! That is really nice! Great color choice! I like it better with the '50 body than the later one.
  11. I was thinking of using the Hemi from the Revellogram '71 Cuda in mine, because I have an extra one. If you are using the twin scoop hood, maybe the ducting from the AMT '70 Super Bee under the hood? A 440 six pack air cleaner from the '70 GTX would be close and could be modified to work on the kit 440. Hart's parts also make a stock RT hood that has that little dome in the center for the current 1/24 Super Bee, so you could use the 4bbl intake from the recently reissued '71 GTX. You would need to find an air cleaner, I am sure there is something out there that would work.(Revell '68/69 Charger or Dart?). Of course, if you are looking for super detailing, the older 1/24 Monogram/Revell muscle cars will need some upgrading, whether that's part swapping or scratch building. I think they look pretty good when they are built and they really do go together nicely.
  12. Maybe he does more than one, but if you look on the site, the one I ordered said it was for the Revell kit. It is under the conversion section.
  13. Hart's parts Resin has a conversion set for the Monogram/Revell '69 Super Bee. It comes with that hood, the 3 tail light panel and side scoops. You can also add a bench seat to the set for a little more $$. I recently ordered it, but have not received it yet, so I can not speak to it's quality.
  14. This is such a great model! I love the stance and I think the switch to the flathead is a great move. It's going to be really cool when it's done.
  15. Excellent job! I have always considered the Sam Barris Mercury to be near perfection! You really captured it in scale!
  16. It was weird because they showed up at Ollies for, I think around $7.50, not too long after they came out and then they disappeared. Usually, a model that winds up at Ollies means it was an overstock, or it didn't sell that well. Now when they show up on Ebay, they are selling north of $30 plus shipping. The convertible and stock coupe are not hard to find at all, and are significantly cheaper, but also don't have all the super nice custom and flathead parts.
  17. I have ordered a number of parts from action-modeler, mostly transmissions, and they are excellent quality. In fact, I just got 3 C-6 Ford transmissions in the mail today! Items are packed well and arrive quickly, which is not always the case with resin items.
  18. That's cool! I remember seeing it when I was doing google searches for the Monogram High Roller kits. It pops up in image searches. I was considering giving a Monogram '55 Chevy street machine a similar treatment.
  19. Hi Larry, I have instructions for the Camaro (2201). Unfortunately I haven't got time to scan them in right now but remind me again later today if you haven't been able to find them anywhere else. Thanks so much guys! Big help. I have a started later issue Chevelle (the "Heavy Chevy" version molded in blue) that needs to be stripped and is far from perfect. I was going to build it into a stock car, but now I am thinking High Roller clone. I also have an unbuilt Monogram '69 Camaro which is so distorted it seems a natural for the 'High Roller" treatment, I won't do anything else with it. I thought I would combine them with the current issue GMC "Big Game Country" parts to make my own versions of "High Rollers" because the originals are bringing WAY too much money on Ebay. It looks like the parts for the Luv, Camaro and Chevelle were similar and lighter duty, so I will have to adapt the GMC 3/4 ton parts with some scratch building, but it shouldn't be too hard and I am not worrying about perfection, the original High Rollers were simplified and a little absurd anyway.
  20. I am looking for the instructions for the Monogram High Roller '70 Chevelle, '69 Camaro and Chevy Luv. I checked the Drastic Plastics instructions site, but did not see them there. Also did a google search and still could not find them. Any help appreciated.
  21. 100% hot rod goodness! Great chop, stance, wheels/tires and engine!
  22. Beautiful job! Really clever idea! Great color, wheels and stance!
  23. That's really cool! Great job!
  24. Competition Resins makes a nice one. You can get it through Slixx Decals on their website. I ordered some resin stuff through Slixx before Covid and they shipped very quickly and everything was packed nicely. The current mail situation could slow things down now though.
