That is really cool! The hand lettering is very well done! What a great time capsule!
  2. I have one sitting here, an older issue of the Amt kit. I too, always wanted to build one like the box art, but could not live with the stupid hood scoop so I removed it and added a "Grumpy Lump" from Competition Resins. Looks MUCH better IMO. Some day I should finish it. ?
  3. Very nice job! They look great displayed together.
  4. I know this kit rightfully gets a bad rap, but man you did a super job on it. Love the 80's street machine vibe and that is a really nice paint job!
  5. Nice job! I like the color.
  6. Super job! At first I thought I was looking at the real truck! Great job on the weathering and details!
  7. Great job! Very nice work!
  8. I have the Hellephant, Barra Ford and 2 twin turbo LS engines. They are very nice and certainly fill a huge void in the model car world. If you want modern engines, there are not a lot of them available in kit form. I am very happy with the ones I have!
  9. Hmmm. That could indicate "proxy" bidders who are working with the seller, bidding it up, and going too far.

Fantastic job, what a great diorama!
  11. Great job! It may have started as a low buck die-cast, but you turned it into a super model!
  12. Nicely done! I like the Pontiac engine! My dad had that era Chevy pickup with an Olds 394 in it for a short time back in the early 70's. That sort of swap was certainly done back then.
  13. Wow! Great job! Nice weathering and dirt. Also nice work on all the detailing.
  14. Great job! I always liked that paint scheme!
  15. Nice rescue! The improvements you made make a big difference!
  16. Nice job! Both look great!
  17. The kit may be poor, but you did a super job on it! One of the best builds of that kit I have seen!
  18. Wow! That is really nice! Great color choice! I like it better with the '50 body than the later one.
  19. I was thinking of using the Hemi from the Revellogram '71 Cuda in mine, because I have an extra one. If you are using the twin scoop hood, maybe the ducting from the AMT '70 Super Bee under the hood? A 440 six pack air cleaner from the '70 GTX would be close and could be modified to work on the kit 440. Hart's parts also make a stock RT hood that has that little dome in the center for the current 1/24 Super Bee, so you could use the 4bbl intake from the recently reissued '71 GTX. You would need to find an air cleaner, I am sure there is something out there that would work.(Revell '68/69 Charger or Dart?). Of course, if you are looking for super detailing, the older 1/24 Monogram/Revell muscle cars will need some upgrading, whether that's part swapping or scratch building. I think they look pretty good when they are built and they really do go together nicely.
  20. Maybe he does more than one, but if you look on the site, the one I ordered said it was for the Revell kit. It is under the conversion section.
  21. Hart's parts Resin has a conversion set for the Monogram/Revell '69 Super Bee. It comes with that hood, the 3 tail light panel and side scoops. You can also add a bench seat to the set for a little more $$. I recently ordered it, but have not received it yet, so I can not speak to it's quality.
  22. This is such a great model! I love the stance and I think the switch to the flathead is a great move. It's going to be really cool when it's done.
  23. Excellent job! I have always considered the Sam Barris Mercury to be near perfection! You really captured it in scale!
  24. It was weird because they showed up at Ollies for, I think around $7.50, not too long after they came out and then they disappeared. Usually, a model that winds up at Ollies means it was an overstock, or it didn't sell that well. Now when they show up on Ebay, they are selling north of $30 plus shipping. The convertible and stock coupe are not hard to find at all, and are significantly cheaper, but also don't have all the super nice custom and flathead parts.
