  1. Looking good! These cars are still a hot set up! They are kind of like modern day Tri-5 Chevys in the drag world.
  2. Nice work as always! I think the Black Roadrunner is the star of the show!
  3. Wow! That is really awesome! Super job!
  4. Very imaginative work! They are more art than model! They easily could be dropped into the set of Bladerunner (or similar sci fi movie) and fit right in!
  5. This is really cool, love what you have done so far!
  6. If it were mine I would not go with twin engines for this one. I think the set up you have is fine. I like the front mounted blower. If you don't like what you have, you could swap in a single smbc instead of the FE Ford. Or maybe a Cadillac or Olds engine? You could also consider an early Hemi or Pontiac?
  7. Nice job! Great engine details!
  8. Love it! Nice resto! It is cool that you kept the 60's raw hot rod feel! Looks really tough!
  9. Wow! That's pretty freaky! You did a great job on it! Lots of details!
  10. Mine would be a traditional '32 Ford Roadster. Full fendered. Dark Blue, maybe even a vintage factory Ford shade. Chopped windshield and black Sid Chavers Bop top. Traditional interior with tuck and roll door panels and leather seat, probably all black. Bell 4 spoke steering wheel, Gennie shifter. Steel wheels, same color as the car, on big and littles with a perfect rake. Vintage Ford caps and trim rings. Dropped and drilled axle, Halibrand QC. Snarly SMBC with a 4 speed. Ideally, a 327 with Corvette valve covers. I also like the look of a Corvette style 2x4 bbl intake with the 2 small louvered air cleaners. Real world version would be a 350 or 383 small block with a single 4bbl, auto trans and a Ford 9" rear.
  11. That's really cool! Where did the wheels come from?
  12. Nice weathering, that bed is very convincing!
  13. That's pretty cool! Neat that it is a functional slot car too. That takes some engineering! Great job!
  14. IMO, the '32 roadster is the prototypical hot rod. Next would be '32 coupes and Model A roadsters on '32 chassis with Deuce grilles.
  15. Wow! Super job on this restoration! It is always nice when an old one gets saved like this!
  16. Nice work! The car sits nice and the detailing and weathering is spot on!
  17. Very nice model! Great color and wheels!
  18. Beautiful car! Love your upgrades. The wheels are perfect for it. Also dig the Pontiac motor! There was a guy when I was a kid who had a red '55 sedan with a 455 in it and it was super fast, left a lasting impression!
  19. For me, I think what the OP said about breaking even sounds right. If you want to clear space or free up money to buy something else it seems to work out ok. In the early days of Ebay, I was able to sell and make some decent $$$ because you could buy older stuff relatively low at flea markets or garage sales and put it on and it would get bid up. Now everyone is an expert and uses it as a gauge to price their "rare and collectible" items. For instance, you will often now see Ollies blow out models or Hobby Lobby sale items that are $7-$10 in the store, wind up at the flea markets for $20+ and the seller will give you the "Yeah these are $30 on Ebay" spiel.
  20. That engine looks great! Are those the kit headers?
  21. Those are both really cool! Love your builds, you have an eye for stance and getting the right details!
  22. I really like it too! Robert Duvall is fantastic in it, but my favorite character he ever did is Gus McRae in Lonesome Dove.
  23. Wow! I thought it was a real motor until I went back and read your text! Super cool!
