Two questions: 1. Has anyone tried to mate (can you say this on the forum?) an old MPC Petty Roadrunner body with a Salvino's Charger frame, engine, etc? We all know that the original MPC stuff wasn't that great. 2. Does anybody make reproduction decals for said Petty Roadrunner? Thanks!

With any luck, we will get an additional Mach 1 variant from Revell eventually with the Boss 351 rebranded as a 351C and/or another Mach 1 variant with the 429. Keeping my fingers crossed.....

Yeah, IIRC "Corporate Blue" came out in 1977. A neighbor was so upset that he might get a Chevy engine in his Cutlass wagon they ordered the 403 instead of the 350. I don't think that Mr. Day was smart enough to come up with that idea on his own, he may have been coached by a neighbor lad......

=Green Interior 1968 El Camino SS=

No. This is one of my "go-tos" for Chevelle info. My boss has a 1970 SS454 HT that "had" a green interior (now black), so I suspect green as an interior choice came later than 1968. http://chevellestuff.net/1968/exterior-interior.htm -

This is also a power steering component. It is the pitman arm mounted control valve that is connected to the ram (that you removed) with the left- and right-turn hoses. A manual steering center link will be connected directly to the pitman arm here. I love all these race cars you build. They are among my favorite 1:1s and you certainly do them justice with your builds. Center link for manual steering: Center link for power steering with provision for the control valve: -

We visited Magic Hat in 2016 when we were in Burlington. I like most all fruity IPAs and tend to switch it up. My local grocery store carries Citrus Mistress by Hop Valley in Oregon. There are a few other NorCal locals by Auburn Alehouse and Device that I buy as well.

IF they did a Vista Cruiser, a 69 would probably be more successful than a 70, sales-wise if they did a That 70's Show tie-in. But I like the 70 the best.

Pat, I wasn't aware that you sold the Chevy.

The regular 2-door A-bodies of this generation were on a 112 inch wheelbase, the 4-doors and "normal" wagons on a 116 inch wheelbase, and the Vista Cruiser rode a special 121 inch wheelbase. It would take a fair amount of changing to get an accurate Vista Cruiser out of the existing tool. I would love to see a 1970 Vista Cruiser kitted, but I won't hold my breath.

Rustoleum 2X spray paints
Rodent replied to Smoke Wagon's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I remember your name from Autoweek or something. I helped crew for some EXTREMELY amature friends up in Issaqua and over in Gerlach in the early 80s. It was quite a shoestring adventure. I don't think I have ever been so cold as I was in Gerlach. The mental midget that owned the van took the thermostat out because it overheated. Guess what? Solved the overheating but made the heater not work. I dumpster-dove some cardboard and blocked off the radiator completely and we still had no heat. -

The aluminum has this style, or at least the California Emissions equipped aluminum does. This color looks horrible if you put clear flat over it, so I wrote myself a note on the plastic lid not to do so. Are you the Steve Nowicki that used to do crazy things in the forest with a Fire Arrow?
