  1. Looks good so far. I also work with cardboard first before committing to the more expensive plastic. With all that length behind the rear wheels, maybe consider stretching the wheelbase?
  2. Great work! You are doing well with the lathe. A friend of mine only got good at making metal shavings!
  3. Got another foot ? here in Pennsylvania! It was fluffy but now everything has iced over. Im not going anywhere! It’s supposed to be in 50s soon so it will melt.
  4. Looks great! It’s good to be up on wheels!
  5. We got about a foot. Kudos to neighbor Dan who got out there with his snow blower and did the sidewalk the length of the street! My neighborhood is good with snow. My snowblower isn’t working and somebody has done the blowing every snowfall this year. In other years I’ve done the street so payback is a good thing
  6. Be careful! Fit can be poor on this one. Triple check things like fit of interior tub into body (I added plastic) and fit of both bumpers. I remember that the spindley chrome chassis parts had a lot of visible ejector pins and seams to sand. I wound up stripping it all. and the Tiki Hut is the most fun part! Bob Paeth was with Revell at the time and told me that since the car is so small, the standard size box appeared to be empty. There was worry about perceived value, so they came up with the hut to fill up the box! And it was a hit!
  7. Great work piecing that back together!
  8. One of those kit breakers on eBay had a Falcon body alone that went for more than $50. Good score
  9. Condolences to you and your family Carl!
  10. Looks great all in black!
  11. I have loads of parts kits, I love to buy cheap kits and parts bags at shows. Just material to build from! There are specific kits I will buy whenever I see them offered for $5 or $10 because they are great for parts or contain some of my favorite accessories.. pickups 50 & 53 Ford, 50,55 & 57 Chevy.. Lindberg 64 Plymouth & Dodge kits with the slant six, 71 Dusters for the chassis..
  12. Looks great and was well worth finally finishing!
  13. Snowing like crazy again! Thankful that I’m indoors with power and heat and I have nowhere to go!
  14. Nice to meet you! My father was US Army at NATO, on the waterfront. We lived in the city. 1966-68 My father sold a 1966 Pontiac Lemans 2 door hardtop with a 4 speed when we left. It was blue but we learned it was painted yellow. I wonder if it is still in Izmir!
  15. That is pretty much the point of it!
  16. Because they’re cool ?
  17. Got chopped windshield frame on it and final coat of paint. Painted chassis and engine, coming along! I started a build thread for it too.
  18. And kit bashing is making something from nothing! I’m pulling another Jeep out of my junk box!
  19. Cool project! This would be sooo easy for Round 2 to do from the 67. And we know they have the files handy!
  20. I’d let Jimmy know. He’s a stand up guy.
