  1. More of this stuff!
  2. Great work! I love restoring sad old models back to glory! I have a pretty clean version of that 61 hardtop. Someone had paint detailed it fairly well, ruining any mint promo value, but it’s a nice shelf piece I’m keeping as is.
  3. Many years ago I was in Cincinnati walking around town and there was a Chinese restaurant with a sign out front “Prawn Dinner Special”. I wondered how many folks in Cincinnati knew what a prawn was!
  4. Polistil 1/25 scale Dodge van with high top and it appears to have the extended length behind rear wheels. Not the greatest, it popped up on my eBay search today. Seller wants over $200, so it’s not gonna be mine!
  5. There hadn’t been a Valiant promo since 1966. Promos were marketing tools to generate showrooms traffic. It makes sense to do the cooler cars. And some of that traffic couldn’t afford the more expensive cars and left with new Valiants. Remember, the Viper was produced as an image car for the same reason.
  6. It’s an Aussie thing Pete! No shrimp from the Barbie for you!
  7. My irk is when the model builder has given a nice write up and people ask questions that were covered in the write up!
  8. especially these days
  9. Very nice work! Cok guzel abi!
  10. Look at his feedback. Neutrals and negatives for slow / no delivery on made to order parts..
  11. Dirty dusty pretzels ?
  12. I came "this close" to meeting him. Ed Roth was to be at GSL in 1999 and I was going! He died a month before the show! ?
  13. funny thing- on reading this thread again and referencing the recent release kit I own, it appears this one originally came with a motor. It’s not in my more recent kit, nor referenced in the instructions. So if I build mine I will remedy this with other Monogram chassis parts.
  14. No, they are wherever someone wants to invest money. There was one in West Chester PA in a suburban shopping center. There's one in Tom's River, NJ too.
  15. Woke this morning to the sound of running water. At first it sounded like my wife had flushed the toilet downstairs, but it went on too long. I got up to investigate... thought the upstairs toilet was running and I could jiggle the handle. Walked into water on the floor. Not good. Of course the toilet valve shut off was frozen so I ran down two sets of stairs to the basement in my underwear to shut off the main water valve. Mopped the floor of standing water and then stopped to have my coffee while everything dried out. Went back and I was able to unstick the valve handle and shut it off. Turned on the water again and no leak. I can see the start of the leak at the connection from the valve to the toilet tube. It's old and copper. So I should be able to just replace that with a new flexible line. Crisis averted. And thankfully I was close by when it started!
  16. My wife owned a yellow 74 C6 coupe when I met her. Not a bad little car. Morgan Auto Detail makes a 75-78 coupe body.
  17. Seats look great! Jeep chassis painted and up on wheels. Wired engine today too!
  18. I gave up on Squadron white putty after my last new tube did what we all said above.. now I use the Bondo one part red glazing putty. Spreads well and sands easy
  19. Cool! I had mentioned that I drank Coke in Turkey as a kid.. truck reads, “Coca-Cola is best refreshment”
