  1. Just don’t give them the recipe for ice cubes!
  2. We’re you using Bare Metal Foil? And which version? I've never had an issue where it wouldn’t stick, in my experience old stuff sticks to the backing too well and breaks up as you try to peel off the backing paper.
  3. Over the years I’ve had several ladies contact me wanting to enter their daughters / themselves into NNL East! The first call caught me off guard.. I agreed her daughter could compete thinking she was a model car builder!
  4. Nice! There’s just something to it when a model calls your name!
  5. I’m not tall, like 5’-7” and there are cars I have trouble getting in to.. having to lean back getting into avoid the A pillar.. I think the windshield slants back too much on these. I don’t have issues with my cars.. 06 Lacrosse, 06 PT Cruiser convertible and 15 Hyundai Elantra. Oh, and for the record.. nothing irked me today! ?
  6. Very nice! I have a green 1960 restorable sitting on the shelf above my work bench.. it has been speaking to me lately...
  7. It definitely predates the Lindberg kit. Probably has promo origins.
  8. I think the ad program misconstrues “model”. It thinks it’s a young girl site.. thus all the lingerie ads and such.
  9. Looks great, I enjoyed the ride along!
  10. The same way any kid’s wagon works! Single centered bolt! The cool thing about it is the dump bed! I’m mulching and that comes in handy
  11. Chuckle if the day... I bought this plastic lawn cart yesterday. Home Depot and Lowe’s were all out of wheel barrows and carts.. I had to search to find this one! Here it is assembled.. I built it box stock. Now for the chuckle.. below are the safety warnings: Yea, I was going to load it up with people and head out to the highway!
  12. I was a cautious kid.. but a curious kid. When I had an idea like "I wonder what would happen if I rode a tricycle down a flight of stairs?" I'd always employ a stunt double. And if Jimmy made it, I'd do it too! ?
  13. The first shots look nice. Except when the house got into the photo. Try to be sure everything in the photo is to scale. Your focus is good, I tell people to take the photo from a distance away so both the model and background will be in focus. Then crop it down to what you need. I also tell folks to take a whole mess of photos, then pick out the good ones. It's not like we are paying for film these days!
  14. My daughter spent another fruitless weekend trying to buy a house in Central New Jersey. A house went on market Saturday and she immediately put in a contract. Had 14 offers that day. Sold for well over list with all contingencies waived. It’s just nuts! A house in my neighborhood just was listed for $300,000 more than the last sale.. lasted 3 days on market.. we don’t knowthe final sales price. I’d sell my house, but where would we go?
  15. Carl, when I was 10 and I stayed with my grandmother, she’d drag me off to Bingo. Held in the church basement, there was a luncheonette across the street that had Palmer kits. She’d give me $2, which bought me a kit, a tube of glue, a bottle of YooHoo and a pack of Yodels. I’d sit there and make a glue mess.. the Bingo ladies must’ve loved me!
  16. Looks great! A super color combo! I didn’t know you could even utter the phrase “Box Stock”! You redeemed that with the RHD conversion. Dashboard photo?
  17. Since there is interest.. the offending nubs are visible next to the chassis rail on either side.. maybe a thin piece of Evergreen strip over them or fill in the slots.
