I'm partial to mild customs, or any well-executed customs; the factory just shoots for a happy medium style for mass appeal, and "one-size-fits-all" is just another way of saying it actually fits no one! Build this baby like you'd build the real thing; to suit YOU! Espo, the photos of the interiors are from Pontiac Parisiennes, which were Impala based. This car is a Bonnieville, so has a different interior; OP was just illustrating a point about the steering wheel choice.

Yeah, the topic of that body has been discussed in several threads here on the forum, but you can work it into shape! The plastic is fairly thick, and you can fix a lot just with judicious filing. I've got one underway, and a wide flat file has been my good friend. A round one helps with the body coves. The area around the back glass needs attention, especially at the top of the C-pillar. The radius of the back window corners is off; I think I had to add plastic in there and file to correct. Having a real body for reference will help you more than you can imagine!

Nice job! I really like the restraint you show in your chassis over-spray; too often this is WAY overdone and unrealistic. If you've ever painted a real car, you have a better idea of just how much actually lands there, of course depending too on the kind of paint sprayed, the painter's technique, air pressure/fluid adjustment of the gun, etc. I think you captured a realistic "middle ground"!
