  1. "A small joke to celebrate Easter..." Shouldn't that be "a small yolk" ?! G'night!!
  2. Cool concept, and the proportions are working pretty well, BUT, I have to agree with others in that the wheel base now looks too short, kinda like a tail-stander drag car. I only say so because you've put a LOT of consideration in to all other aspects, and this could look SO nice with that extra bit. I will say, too, that the model appears to be sitting a bit lower in the back, and that could be exaggerating the effect somewhat. Here's a quick and dirty Photo-chop to chew on... (Following with much interest regardless!)
  3. So far, so cool!
  4. I really hope you meant "pop"...
  5. The Camaro van BEGS to be finished! Reminded me immediately of the old L’Universelle GM show piece that hinted at coming styling elements that eventually showed up on the Nomad. Yours is a modern take on that, and really has that Autorama vibe already. Silver and burgundy metallic two-tone would make the chrome scream! The Silhouette project is my hands-down favorite, though. Beautiful work, cool concept; outshines the original. The truck cracks me up. Looks like the Dream Truck made a baby with a catfish! Keep 'em coming!
  6. Great work so far. I love seeing this kind of project; updating classic, but lacking, old kits. Keep up the good work!
  7. Beautiful color choice.
  8. Love your builds! A bug that hovers...Dragonfly? Skeeter? Oh, one of my favorite words from the old-timers around here; they used to call dragonflies " Snake Doctors", I have no idea why, but I dig the sound of it.
  9. Very cool project; nicely executed!
  10. Curious, who made this Fury body? Can't wait to see what you make of it!
  11. Nice job so far! That is a really clean build there. The dark gray paint is handsome on that body, and should help the chrome trim really pop!
  12. Well done!
  13. Hard to imagine a more perfect color for this; it just works so well! Nicely done.
  14. I LOVED building the Aurora movie monster kits, and had Frankenstein's monster, The Creature from The Black Lagoon, Dr. Jekyll/Mr.Hyde, Godzilla, and this one. This is the one that fired my imagination the most for some reason. It was my hands-down favorite. Nice job on yours, and thanks for the memory jog!
  15. I think it's funny that your truck is carrying tanks, but the door decals proclaim "Arc Welding"! Where's the arc welder?
  16. Very nice color combo; the top adds just such a nice splash of color without detracting from that sweeeeeet silver!
  17. OOOOooooooooohhh yeeeaaah.
  18. Beautiful and imaginative! I really love your builds!
  19. Really impressive how well that body style responded to the top chop. Loving this!
  20. Oh yeah! That silver really flatters the body. Keep it coming...
  21. Is your interior tub squarely seated? It appears your chassis is being "pushed" rearwards, both front and rear tires are nearly touching their respective openings at the backside. This kit is a very old molding, and has its share of problems, BUT they can be overcome. You might need to file a bit of plastic away from the front side of the rear wheel wells, and/or from the bottom rear portion of the interior tub (see where they touch, at the seat cushion area?). Also, check those round "holes" that locate the interior tub, behind the rear package tray. You may need to file them back into a better version of "round", again, as this is an old molding. That should help bring the chassis closer to center in the wheel openings, then you can judge other fitment issues more accurately. Adding plastic pieces to the inner fenders is pretty basic modeling stuff, but if this is new to you, don't be afraid to tackle it! I would locate some stiff paper to use to make patterns, then use those to make custom fit extensions to hide that space that bothers you in the wheel well. ( I like 3x5 index cards for drawing/cutting patterns. Manila folders also work well.) This saves your valuable plastic, as paper is easy to cut, re-cut, and fit as much as needed before tracing onto plastic sheet. The support you want may be as simple as a short stack of small squares of sheet plastic, or trial and fit stub of sprue attached to the top of the front inner fenders, so that they contact the underside of the horizontal, flat part of the front fender. DRY FIT EVERYTHING! Time spent now will reward you with a satisfying stance. We're all pulling for you...
  22. I think you guys will be pleasantly surprised when you try craft acrylics for interiors. It tends to dry to a very convincing vinyl-looking finish, and can be brushed on just fine. ( Thin coats, with a short dry time between coats) OP, that color is NICE! I may have to find some for a custom '70 Impala I've been wrestling with, so thank you for bringing it to my (our) attention!
  23. These are looking VERY nice! Can't wait to see the finished product.
