  1. A really fun build to follow along with! Very nice color combo. Keep it up!
  2. By all means, keep us updated! Great work so far! Thoughts on color combo?
  3. A very clean build; nicely done.
  4. One thing these conversions all seem to have in common; you haven't made any accommodations for putting in the gas! Impalas fueled from a panel in the rear, but El Caminos feed the fuel tank from a lid on the left quarter panel, since the tailgate doesn't allow a high enough fill point.
  5. Will look great either way!
  6. Appreciate the info, BobbyG. Other parts I need there!
  7. The contrast provided by the foil is really waking that color up. That's a classy boat you got there! I'd love to see a satin black "faux vinyl" painted top on her to really pop those stainless inserts. Have you considered it?
  8. How does one go about purchasing this beauty of a grille?
  9. This will be a nice looking model when finished; you have a clean building style.
  10. The older Monogram kits still hold their own, and in the right hands (like yours!) can rival the best of the rest. Great value kits! Beautiful example here. Well done!
  11. Got a 59 stalled myself (converting to Le Baron 4dr Hdtp), and hoping to nab a 60 before long (prefer the 60 front and rear treatment) Will be watching with MUCH interest!
  12. Cool kit, cool car, cool options within. This kit looks great no matter how you choose to build it! Can you tell it's one of my all-time favorites? Have fun, and get as much input and "help" ( color choices, style, etc.) from Jonathan as you can; let him feel like this is HIS project, and you will create a modeler!
  13. Looking good!
  14. This is a REALLY cool project; can't wait to see more progress! Those ladder bars are perfect.
  15. Pretty nice for 1/144 scale. I had a few in my stash, but the quality in that scale is all over the map; some are jewels, and some are barely recognizable. This one looks really nice, but for the undersized bubbletop. Your paint and decal work are very clean; well done! If you decide to build a "jug" in 1/48 scale, you gotta check out the new Italeri P-47D; the sprues are works of art, and the decal sheet is outstanding in scope and quality. It's a bit pricey, but I found a couple on ebay sold as bagged kits, and got a great deal. a must-see kit for WWII buffs.
  16. These are fun; sort of 21st century takes on Dave Deal caricatures. The only thing missing is the big-headed pilots/drivers! Very nice build on yours, by the way!
  17. Neat, and 57s always look good in red! Revell did a better job with this kit than any previous of capturing the look and proportions of the 57 Chevy. It ain't perfect (what kit is?!), but looks really nice.
  18. So far, so good!

Very nice color choices, and very well applied. These are going to make very attractive models!
  20. Really like this body style, and that color is going to work NICELY! Is it me, or does the front end sit a bit too high? Or just a loose fitting mock-up, maybe?
  21. Really informative thread - thanks fellas!
  22. A shame you didn't keep one or two in natural wood finish to showcase the purity of the craft. Really nice work!
  23. Not just A chase plane, but THE chase plane that brought one of the Valkyries down when he drifted in too close. Mount him inverted over the XB-70!
  24. Ooooh, I'm liking this. This is one of my favorite "supercars." Going to do the silver/gray color as pictured?
