On the subject of a possible two-tone. Depending on your finished body mods maybe, if you think it would be in keeping with your design, something along the line of a "Watson" style treatment or even a paint fade color treatment. The rear fender skirts start giving a "Tail Drager" look unless that works with your ideas.

What did you see on the road today?

In addition to the great looking cars, you photographed your mention of Healdsburg. Your mention has jogged my memory of a time just over 40 years ago while dating a lovely young lady that has been my bride for 40 years. You are correct about the area being a great place to relax and enjoy the scenery. We were in my Hugger Orange '69 Camaro that looked about as nice as that Firebird. -
I have a window well in my basement model room and heard a noise outside but couldn't see anything when I looked out the window. I have had frogs appear after heavy rains and thought that maybe the issue. Yesterday I was touching up the edging with the weed eater and as I looked down into the window well, I found a baby Rabbit that didn't make it. The Rabbit has been returned to the woods.

Thank you for the pictures. Amazing looking builds.

Great looking paint and stripes. The interior looks very well done and the wheels are something that looks good on just about anything, only my opinion anyway.

Another beautiful build. I just picked up the new Round 2 El Camino this week and it is now the next one in my Q. Question on the "wood" bed floor. I know there have been many 1:1 builds where someone has installed a wood bed floor over the factory steel floor, but they even have the wood finish on the bottom side as well. Any suggestions on removing the vinyl roof finish on the body? I'm sort of the ham-fisted type and have often found myself having to redo any surrounding body trim in the past.

Beautiful paint finish and the body color and interior color look great together. Like the paint detailing on the chassis and engine.

Never even thought of floor mats, didn't think this kit was that well detailed. -

Have you double checked the driver's side tires for the directional tread pattern? -
Great looking interior detailing. Very realistic looking colors and finishes.

Like the smooth looking body with just a little trim removed from the trunk and front fenders. The paint colors and finish are eye catching.

#1: Like the "Deviant" name you have hung on this build. #2 I was going to suggest a stacked quad headlight setup, but you are already committed on this. #3 A very mild, no more than a scale 2" chop might look better than a mail slot chop, unless that's the way you want to go. #4 Stay with the interior colors and do something in a pearl finish on the body?

This maybe a great safety idea for large trucks. Think of all the times driving behind a larger vehicle that you wanted to pass safely but couldn't see what was in front of that vehicle. This maybe another use for the option on some pickup trucks now that enable the driver to see behind their trailer when backing. -

AKA "Dog Walking" has another possibility with vehicles with a parallel rear leaf spring suspension, if the differential has had an impact that actually moved the differential from its proper mounting position on the leaf springs. -
AMT Datsun 280ZX Turbo Decal Question
espo replied to Jim B's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Two possibilities for the #10 decals. I have noticed in a few kits lately that some duplicate decals for certain trim items are being included, or maybe one for the rear of the vehicle. -

I like the color and of course the finish as well. Maybe it will grow on you with time. -
Beautiful paint finish and this shade of blue was very popular at that time. Like the matching interior color.
