  1. There are several ways to do this and for the most part I think it has to do with the tire you are using in the first place. What I have done is to first soak the tire in some Purple Power for an hour or so, followed by a good rinse with tape water. I'll spray the sidewall with a light coat of Tamiya clear and allow to dry. Next apply the decals and again allow them time to set. This is followed by a light second coat of clear and allowed to dry. At this point the appearance of the sidewall should be smooth and the edge of the decal unseen. A light coat of a flat or semi-gloss clear should give you the final appearance you are after. Remember when I mentioned the tire being important to the final finish? A couple of things to consider and may determine how you go about this process if you go this way. Should the tire be of a design that is very flexible or requiring a lot of man handling to mount of the wheel, you might think of mounting it on the wheel first and mask the wheel off before you start painting the tires. With a lot of flexing of the sidewalls to mount the tires it is likely that the paint on the sidewalls could crack. I'm sure there will be may others giving you information on how they decal the tire sidewalls, I would carful look at each suggestion and see what you think will work best for what you're trying to do.
  2. I agree with everyone else on this color. Almost looks like it could glow in the dark. The body trim is all cleanlt done and the stance looks right on.
  3. Beautiful looking deep blue color and the silver stripes are a nice accent without detracting from the blue color. The chrome trim is all cleanly done.
  4. Great looking paint finish and the color looks good on this body style. The Super Bee trim all looks cleanly done. Like the front splitter and the wheels as well.
  5. For a cast-off body the paint looks really good. The multi part body can make this a challenge to build, but your body here looks great. A friend of mine in high school had a '50 hard top in the popular shade of grey primer.
  6. Beautiful looing E Type. The soft color tone shows the body lines. The cleanly detailed build is something that needs to be studied, the longer you look the more details you see.
  7. Beautiful looking paint finish and like the paint treatment. Clean looking chassis and the engine is well done also.
  8. I'm useing the Revelle Type 1 for my bases. The hood lines up perfectly. The kit has inner fenders that I'm not sure are even needed on a normal build. The area behind the front wheels leaves the front end and part of the interior visible without the inner fenders. I'm going to fab something to hide all that.
  9. Rabbits aren't very bright when it comes to a safe place to raise their young. A few years ago, I was mowing the lawn and ran over a Rabbit nest in the middle of the yard. The grass wasn't more than 4 or 5 inches high, but they had hollowed out a small depression that I couldn't see from the rider until I had hit a couple of the babies. Felt bad about it, but it is one way to cull the heard, I think.
  10. Both are great looking and like the Factory optional body trim. The Gold one is really eye catching. Both have great looking paint and nice clean body trim.
  11. Great weathering, the dusty finish is very realistic looking. Like your paint design and the roll bar set up. I'm working on the same conversion now and was wondering what you did with the inner front fender area? The exhaust is also something I'll need to work on, any suggestion there would be appreciated.
  12. The movie and the Challenger are sort of a cult classic. This build looks just like the movie car.
  13. Beautiful looking Riviera and I like the matching "Sting Ray" bike.
  14. Your extra efforts on the detailing really show. A lot of metallic in the green paint shows and the lighting also accents the body lines. The interior and under hood areas are nicely detailed and the small decals and gauges show well.
  15. Like all the body damage and paint finish. The tail gate and front bumper look great. A pickup isn't a pickup unless there is debris in the bed.
  16. Great looking Broncho and like the OEM body accents.
  17. Beautiful looking colors and trim finishes. Like how you redid the interior.
  18. Like the metallic paint finish and how smooth the finish is. Great looking engine and interior detailing.
  19. Great looking paint work. Like the leather belts holding the hood closed.
  20. Beautiful looking paint color and finish. The body lines look great.
  21. Like the paint color and finish. The interior looks well done from what you can see. The trim is all cleanly done.

    80 Monte Carlo

Great looking paint finish and clean body trim. Have always thought these looked better without the vinyl roofs anyway. The red interior compliments the red interior.
