  1. The paint color and the patterns look great. Nice looking low rider trim and suspension.
  2. Amazing how smooth these early Mercs looked even with a basic stock body and skirts. The paint looks great.
  3. I have only transported models locally so I can get by with something a little more basic. I got stackable carrying case at Wal Mart, and I'm sure they can be found else ware as well. They are 13" by 14" with slots inside with movable dividers to safely carry three models per level. The side catches for the lid will secure an additional level if you want to expand the stack. In my case I only go three units high giving room for 12 1/25th scale models. The Microfiber towels I use to wrap each model in, and the dividers cushions them from one another. Best price on the towels around here seems to be Costco.
  4. Would seem that the owner had an open line of credit with J.C, Whitney mail order. With that much rear overhang driveways may be a challenge.
  5. I'm working off of an old wooden roll top desk and want to preserve the finish as much as I can. I found a kitchen type cutting board at Bed, Bath and Beyond. The surface has a small dip running around the outer edge I guess to catch any fluids when used in the kitchen. Both sides have a rubber surface that runs along the side to keep it from sliding around. The work surface is an off-white color in a hard plastic type of finish and is available in a couple of sizes. Mine happens to be 14" by 21" but they do offer some smaller as well. As I recall it was less than $20.
  6. On the taillights, are you thinking about keeping the basic oblong shape much like an OEM or something different?
  7. Your prospective of life will forever be changed. Congratulations, and now you get to hand out cigars unless that is no longer traditional.
  8. Great looking weathering and attention to detail.
  9. Glad you liked it. Sort of what I would do if I owned a 1:1 '59.
  10. Like the color combination. Great looking paint finish and the interior detailing. The wheels look good on this body style.
  11. Great looking Pontiac. You're right about this kit and the subject. The paint looks great to me, and I like the smooth finish.
  12. This would have been a great looking cruiser.
  13. Beautiful looking paint and finish. The body kit sure changes the look of the Camaro body. Like the engine and the contrasting interior color.
  14. Looks great. I like the modern paint colors not often seen on a '56 pickup. The Carbon Fiber decals worked well.
  15. Beautiful looking finishes. Did these rear wheels and tires come in the kit?
  16. I like the showroom appearance. Great paint job and the interior looks great.

In the photos the paint color and finish look great. I used this same color of Tamiya paint for a replica build of an El Camino I used to own. Being that it does have a lot of metallic I have found that heating and shaking the paint can until your hand is about to fall off works. Nice looking engine setup.
  18. Great idea making it into a sedan delivery. Almost wonder why Ford didn't do something like this at the time. The paint job looks great, and the engine is nicrly detailed.
  19. The "Ansen" style wheels bring back fond memoirs.
  20. I work out of an old roll top desk I have had for many years. When I do a 180, I have my computer desk and a small file cabinet. Keep everything else in another room in the basement along with my paints and spray booth.
  21. Great idea to replicate the rear quarter body line. That corrector line would be present on the 1:1 car.
  22. The one I was doing I wound up creating a channel inside the window opening for the glass to sit in.
  23. Outside of Pebble Beach, I've never seen so many cost prohibitive cars on display in one place together. Some great colors and paint treatment ideas.
  24. Probably photo shopped, but it sure looks good.
  25. I have had a few builds that turned into parts doners. I think it just goes with what we are doing.
