Beautiful looking paint finish and the color fits the subject. Your clean assembly and detailing offset any draw backs of the basic kit.

Great looking finish. I like the basic work truck appearance. -
Excellent paint design and finish.

Great looking finishes and I like the details like the CB antenna.
-
Beautiful looking paint finishes and I like how you do a light dusting of the engine and chassis.
-
Great looking build based on the concept that when too much just isn't enough. The detailing of all the unusual features along with the rear driver set up is all very believable.

Beautiful looking paint finish and I like the two-tone body colors. The dark Blue almost disappears against the countertop in some pictures.

Paint looks nice and smooth. I like the color matched interior.

I love the coil set up, and then disappearance behind the rest of the engine, which looks great, and you'll never hope to see it when it's in the car. Your second idea for the interior seems more reasonable for this type of build.

The side draft carbs looked good, but the three-carb setup is very impressive looking. I like seeing the old stove bolt get the attention you're giving it.

I agree with Engineer Bob on the body work. I like the low line two door vibe in 1:1 cars as well.

Hi Ron. I was looking at the upcoming Mecum Auction on line and remembered your friends GTO. This Thursday they have lot #T91 a '66 GTO with an auto trans and on Satruday they have two. Lot #S67 is a '67 GTO 4-speed car and S162 a '66 GTO auto trans car. I don't know if either one of you are registered with Mecum to follow on line, but it doesn't cost anything. You can follow up on what something sold for and compare equipment and guess from the pictures how they compare as to finish. This might give your friend an idea of what his car could or may be worth. -
'67 Chevelle 300 two door sedan resin body and interior. The chassis and suspension are from the Revell '67 SS396 kit. Body: removed hood vents and grill emblems. Paint: Testor's Root Beer and Tamiya TS-13 Clear with NuFinish Scratch Doctor polish. Interior: Tamiya TS-68 Wood Deck Tan with dark brown ink to highlight the inserts. Flocking on the floor and rear package tray. Kit supplied dash, steering wheel and shifter. Tinted band on the windshield. Engine: Revell '69 Z-28, blue plastic kit. Prewired Distributer, Fuel lines, Radiator and Heater Hoses. Chassis: '67 SS396 kit with lowered suspension. Exhaust modified to fit a small block engine. Four Wheel Disc Brakes from a Corvette kit and Wheels from a Firebird kit. Think about someone who couldn't afford an SS 396 or even insure one. Find a base model two door and spend your money under the hood and on suspension. This is what I would have done.

Both tops look the same in the pictures? You would need to enlarge the rear window if you're trying to build a stock vehicle, but I don't think that would be that difficult. Maybe see if someone will loan you the top of the '59 Impala kit to see just how close it would be.

Pioneer radios were the first aftermarket radios that I can remember that we could afford. Now if you want to step back in time a little further, about the time Vibrasonic rear seat speakers came in vogue along with 45 rpm record players mounted under the dash. I think the '65 GTO's were the first cars to offer the Vibrasonic radio from the factory. -

Great looking pair. I like the colors you used and The Chevelle is just what you would expect on the back. The tandem axel setup they used seems odd to me, but you have made it look good here. -
The paint color looks great on this, and the chrome trim looks fine in the pictures.

Don't forget leisure suits and white belts. -
I as well. A friend of mine had a '55 210 two door in white with an upgraded 301 cu in and a 3 speed that was really nice.

Beautiful and very accurate looking build. I like that you are honoring the original owner's view. He obviously took excellent care of this truck through the years. -

I like the background story for your build. Your paint finish looks much like your father's truck was. As a FYI on the stacks. Back when they were a little more common sight on pickups the rainwater issue was handled by drilling a very small hole at the base of the turnup for the stacks. This would let any water that collected to drain as well as startup condensation. Problem was that area would rust after a couple of years.
