  1. "69 box but sure looks like a '70 body. Without knowing where the seller got this they may not even realize the difference between the two.
  2. The Mequiars product that Muncie mentioned is designed for use on plastic. Used to for years on the windshield of a couple of boats. Might even want to try it on your tail lights and headlights regardless of the scale.
  3. I have used the Novus liquids with a micro fiber towel and had good results. I have also used the Tamiya polishing pastes in the same fashion and that has become my preferred method now. I think either one would do the job, I just like the Tamiya better.
  4. They all look so great and cleanly built.
  5. Beautiful looking traditional style.

    1936 Ford

I like the vintage style of your build. Great looking paint work. I had forgotten that they had the chopped top in that kit.
  7. Another great looking performance car build.
  8. Beautiful looking Camaro.
  9. If you're working on a bend or corner you could try some thin fine line tape and build it up with a second layer of heavier tape. I don't have any patience either, but slow and steady is better than trying to fil the lines you cut into the tape or off into the body. I have done that and no mater how hard you try the blade wants to follow your mistake instead of your intended line.
  10. Been there done that and I'm wearing the T-Shirt. Usually you can use a strip of masking tape as a guide and start to redefine the parting line with very light pressure on a #11 blade. Try not to cut to deep or fast until the line is straight enough to step up to a panel line tool or some sort of carving tool to match the present body lines. I had another modeler suggest to me that the tape like you would be used in the tool used to make plastic labels would work even better than the tape as a guide.
  11. I bought one of these when first released based on the box art. When I opened it I found the same old hardtop body inside. Not all bad, but I wanted the post sedan as in the box art.
  12. I have also had this happen once in a while. Usually the main cause is applying the additional clear coats before the first coat had time to "flash" as the manufactures usually suggest a 20 minute time for that to happen. Also if the second coat is to heavy of an application can also lead to the same problem. My best painting results usually include staying with the same brand of paint thru out. I had the exact same thing on the roof of a '56 Chevrolet sedan delivery and I had to sand the surface to the point that the color coat was being effected before I could get it smooth again.
  13. A question about your question ? Sounds as if you may have removed the body panel seem line in the body with excessive sanding of the body.
  14. Very realistic looking. Makes you feel sorry for the old work horse.
  15. I learned a lot watching your body modifications on this build. Great looking finishes and the interior looks great as well.
  16. Great looking collection of '55's. You could call it the Good, Bad, and the Ugly. I find each setting relatable in someway to real life. I like the evolution of the convertible.
  17. I like the base model style of this build. Great looking finishes.
  18. Beautiful looking color and paint. Interior is cleanly detailed .
  19. Beautiful looking color and finishes thru out. I agree with everyone else, photos with the right back ground this is hard to tell from the real car.
  20. Great looking body work. Besides the head rests the rear wheel well openings look like they should have been that way. Clean looking paint and trim .
  21. Looks very Road Racerish. What was the bases of the body that you have used ?
  22. While I can agree to a point with others on the Corvette color, I wouldn't be as harsh with the owners color choice. The color was the owners decision to make as well as their money to spend. The Comet Cyclone looks great to me and most of the chassis and drive train is shared with the Cougar anyway. The Studebaker really looks interesting to me. This looks to be much more than a nice restoration. I noticed the tucked bumpers and the wheels and the sound of the engine as mentioned makes me think there is a lot more to this car than what you see in the picture. There was a time when that car could be ordered new with a Paxton supercharged 289 V-8 and a four speed. This looks like it more have moved beyond that at this point.
  23. Great looking paint finish, very OEM looking. I have always been a big fan of the Corvette Rally Wheels in 1/25 and have used them on several personal vehicles as well.
  24. Great looking color and paint finish on this little slant back. At one time some people used to call the '37 an "Ugly Duckling" . I guess they never saw one like your build. The wheels work well with this build style.
  25. The paint finish looks great. I like the cleanly detailed engine.
