  1. Great looking Fairlane. I like the crisp clean looking white finish. Very nice engine details and the wheels give it a tuff look.
  2. I like the engine switch, much more believable. The rear wheel well openings match the front well .
  3. Great looking paint finish and color. I like the stance along with the custom wheels.
  4. I like seeing unusual body styles getting done to this standard.
  5. Great looking paint finish. The chrome trim is neat and cleanly done.
  6. I like the detailing to show a car that has been used hard and given very little cars. The film on the inner fenders looks very realistic. Very nice looking interior.
  7. I like the attention to all of the little trim details and I agree with everyone else on the under body aero body parts.
  8. Great looking Ford. I think these always looked best in that shade of red. Cleanly trimmed build.
  9. Great looking paint finish and the pattern on the roof is unique.
  10. Great looking paint and trim. The lighter color looks perfect on this style build. I like the detailing of the parking lights in the grill area as well.
  11. I remember following these builds here. The attention to details that most overlook is amazing on all of his builds.

    My Ala Kart

Beautiful looking build of a real icon Kustom of it's day. The decal trim on the fenders and bed sides look just like the 1:1 car of so long ago.
  13. Very nice color and finish. I also like the more common standard body style.
  14. Very nice clean looking build. I understand these were the affordable factory hot rod of the day at that time.
  15. Great looking little '55. Interesting color combination. The stance and the wheels really look great to my tastes.
  16. Very well done body conversion. I also like the color as well as the paint finish.
  17. Great looking paint finish and the cleanly painted and detailed engine compartment look great as well.
  18. I would follow the suggestion of the gray primer followed by the white primer and then the final color coats of paint. The only thing I would add would be to use paints all from the same manufacture. I used this same method to build the Revell's '80's issue of the Monte Carlo SS. I also masked the head light openings and the grill area as well as the portion of the rear bumper trim that were black on the original car. Still displays well after more than 20 years on the shelf.
  19. Looks good, anymore pictures ?
  20. Going to enjoy watching this build..
  21. Nice chopped top. I like how you kept the proportions of the roof and the windows.
  22. I think the custom touches on this are very tastefully done. When this kit was first released it contained complete front and rear custom body parts as well as directions and additional parts for a chopped top. I like the way you're doing the grill and tail lights as they are somewhat like the original parts but your work looks much smoother. I think the engine your building looks more realistic than the kits super charger version. The chrome rims with the narrow white walls fit the time period perfectly.
  23. I had watched both my parents when they drove as I was always interested in cars anyway. As a small boy I remember going with my father when he toke delivery of our new '49 Ford 4 door. About ten years later I would drive it up and down the driveway since I was not yet 16. After watching them operate the shifter and clutch it just seemed very natural and easy to me. My personal choice in vehicles seemed to trend to those with a manual transmissions. With the advancements made over the last decade or so I have slowly started buying cars and trucks with the automatic transmissions, and the fact that in many cases that was the only way they were equipped. We just sold our '09 Jeep Wrangler with the 6 speed manual and our two present day drivers are both 6 and 8 speed overdrive automatics.
  24. As for the difference between the two base coats I think it would be which looks best to you. The thing that got my eye was the finish on the paint. In a couple of pictures it looks as though the green color is reacting to the base coat,
  25. Maybe the driver could hire out for snow removal during the winter if they could control the height of the front bumper.
