I have noticed in the last year that the MECUM AUCTIONS have been offering some '80's and "90's era Ford Broncho type 2 door vehicles in a few of their auctions. Don't know who is importing them and any of the legal issues connected with imported vehicles that may or may not meet US requirements. Check out the Mecum Auction site on the internet and you can look at the cars and trucks that are being offered on future auctions and maybe see one.
Can you share with me were you're getting the two-wheel drive conversion for your build. I have also owned a few GM pickups through the years and would also like to build models of them. I have a couple of the Revell '76 Chevy 4x4 step side models but my '74 and '79 Chevrolets were 2-wheel drives.
So many great looking cars and trucks. I live about 5 miles from the Kansas Speedway, and they used to have the Good Guys Show there every year. A few years ago, the Good Guys went north, and they don't have that show anymore.
Last night about sundown looking out the kitchen window while having dinner. Wasn't expecting anything until my wife shouts "coyote". I see one sort of going at a slow trot looking around followed by a second and a third one. I'm thinking they are a pack that we hear sometimes vocalizing after dark and they look like the same ones we have seen in the past.
With the lack of driving ability with the drivers around here, the only thing worse than a roundabout might be the diverging diamonds at freeway interchanges.
Beautiful looking paint and trim finishes. Your mention of the kit's short falls and how you overcame them helps to fully understand what all you had to do on this build.
Might consider getting reprints of the decals as a backup plan just in case they're compromised by age. I used the Testers Purplelicious on a Dodge Magnum Wagon build before and it sprayed out nice and smooth right from the can. The usual spoon test will give you an idea as to how it lays down. Look forward to watching this build.
