    C7 Corvette

Great build, it looks just like the 1:1 Corvette.
  2. Great looking build. I'm not familiar with the Fallout Games theme but the color combination looks great. Nice crisp color separation. Question, the body kings shoe the Boston Division but you have California license plates.
  3. Rusty makes a important point about body prep. You hadn't mentioned what primer you used on the body. With a light color such as Yellow you would want a White primer as it would make the lighter colors look brighter. For a dark colored body a Gray would work fine. I like to follow other builders as they go thru the process as I have learned a great deal from the other builders by doing so. As you have found out everyone wants to help you in anyway they can.
  4. Very nice build. As others have mentioned a light wash on the grill and the hood vents would go a long way. You might want to try your hand at foiling the chrome trim on your next build, or get one of the Liquid Chrome pens to do the trim.
  5. Very sharp clean build. Looks like it's on the new car showroom floor.

    '25 Model T

I like this a lot, makes me smile to look at it.
  7. Your build is look'n great. While these are factory colors and interior and exterior combinations, I have always wondered what G.M. was thinking on some of these combinations.
  8. Excellent detailing on the chassis. Look forward to seeing the rest of your build.
  9. I bought one of these a couple of years ago. I have used it to store my extra tires. I cut pieces of card board and taped them to the inside creating a divider to separate different styles of tires. They make a great inexpensive way to store just about anything.
  10. I was spoiled and didn't realize it at that time, I was living in southern California and Coors was the Brew of choice at the time.
  11. Great colors and design.
  12. What a great way to honor your friends who are no longer with us. You can look at these models and remember the good times you enjoyed with them. I can see how you might even feel their presence sometimes.
  13. Is that young lady handing that lucky dog a can of "Rocky Mountain Cool Aid" ??
  14. I have used a Q tip with just a touch of Tamiya thinner in the past. You might want to forgo using any blue tape for this reason. Tamiya tape is expensive but for a good reason.
  15. Very nice looking truck. As others have pointed out many don't think of the commercial license plate for a pick up. I like the open wheel look better than the full wheel covers. Your under hood detailing looks dead on. Nice spark plug wires.
  16. Looks great. I like this stance better myself.
  17. Great looking build and I personally like that color of Blue and have used far to often myself. I'm in fact working on a '50 Olds but with a Resin fastback body. The base kit is the California Wheels addition and has some very nice pad printed Wide Whites. So that may be a place to look for better tires. Another option is to get the white walls offered by Pegasus. They also offer a narrow white wall with chrome wheels, sort of a late '50's too 60's look.
  18. Great looking build. Nice paint finish and real clean chrome trim. Not sure about the interior, but from what I could see it also looked good. I would have had the rear end just a tad higher but that's just me.
  19. I have always know that I'm truly blessed to have found my wife, and after reading some of the problems others have had it just reinforces my belief. I have a bedroom in the basement, she has a Library just off the entry way. She has helped me when I go to the annual Hartland Model Show and Swap Meet. The only time I get any static is when things are tight and she thinks I might slow down on buying models, which isn't very often
  20. Very nice clean build.
  21. Outstanding build. As you mentioned it isn't 100% as to the box picture, but it sure captures the Look that AMT had on the box. I agree these are great kits when new and rather simplified compared to the latest offerings but they just look right when finished.
  22. Nice looking rig. I understand your frustration trying to find an area to do a little off roading. We have a JK that gets to get it's tires dirty from time to time. We have managed to scrape and gouge every skid plate. Even helped get a guy right side up using our wench. I don't know if you have ever considered going to a Jeep Jamboree since there are several in your area. I just checked the Catskill Mountains in Monticello N.Y. Sept. 21 - Sept 23 but there is a waiting list at this time. The Sept. 28 - Sept. 30 Main Mountains in Bethel Main is also waiting list only at this time. You might check the Jeep Jamboree web site to see about getting in next year. You might see if there is any Jeep clubs in you area that may know of any Off Road Parks in a short drive from where you live.
  23. Had some pretty big winds (70 mph +) on Saturday night. Many in the KC Metro area without power and much damage. Out here on the edge of the prairie we only lost one 25 ft.. Smoke Tree Bush beside the deck. Just spent all morning cutting up the tree and put it all in the garden trailer to go to the city dump. Hardest part was digging up all of the roots to get the stump out.
  24. Beautiful clean build. Great body work, very smooth transition from the T-Bird rear into the T Bucket body. The engine colors are just like OEM and the spark plug wiring is perfect.
  25. I also like the color combination. I'm interested in the wheels you're using, are they two piece ?
