  1. Great looking build and the color looks better than the yellow ones that you used to see in the past.
  2. Like the added instrument details along with the radio. The chroming of the dash plate above the steering column was a popular thing as well as the ash tray and even the glove box door if the budget allowed and the owner's teste.
  3. I feel the easily replaceable bulb is the way to go from a cost of ownership and ease of maintenance. The enhanced lighting for nighttime driving is sufficient without any undue expense.
  4. Having been a long-time subscriber to several automotive based magazines, I have often saved the pictures and stories on the ones I liked. I have 6 good sized ring binders full of inspirations for future ideas for builds. Sadly, almost all of such publications are no longer being issued.
  5. Problem solved.
  6. It's hot enough I'm hanging out in the basement with the A/C on only coming upstairs for nourishment.
  7. Was the guy should be wearing a mask?
  8. Glad you're ok, except for maybe feeling bad about yourself. Cars can be replaced, but you may have to do some insurance shopping after this. Hopefully your insurance company doesn't try and short you on the replacement costs for the car.
  9. Story at the dealership level at the time having to do with the Fiero concept. The story goes that the Pontiac division didn't show any prototypes to the GM Brass, wonder how that got that one done, before getting the OK to go to production. The Fiero concept was presented as an economy car with a basic 4-cylinder engine, not mentioning where the engine was located in the car, with the steering rack, as well as other mechanical components, would be shared with the Chevette and standard 4-speed manual and an optional automatic transmission. At the time GM and every other American Automotive Manufacturer were under the gun from the Fed to get their gas milage averages up so anything that sounded like an econobox was popular with those that made such decisions.
  10. Beautiful looking body conversion and paint. Can't wait to see what you do with the left-over parts from this build.
  11. Great looking showroom finishes and trim details. The vinyl roof looks great, and I'm not necessarily a fan of vinyl roofs.
  12. Great bed and body conversion. Like the flat paint color.
  13. Nice Showroom appearance and two-tone paint.
  14. Great looking patina finish. Like the stance and the upgraded drivetrain.

Great paint color and body trim. Like the interior detailing.
  16. Great looking paint finish and body trim.
  17. Great looking T&R interior.
  18. In addition to the beautiful paint color and finish, the detailing of the interior, chassis, and engine look great as well.
  19. Like the taillights. Used International Harvester taillights mounted in the same way on a couple of 1:1 Chevy short beds in the past.
  20. Like your concept for this build.
  21. Interesting color. Some wet sanding and a couple of clear coats maybe even some pin striping? The body side chrome will also enhance the appearance.
  22. We downsized a couple of years ago and had lived on a small body of water for 20+ years. I had to do battle with these things every day and night. They would float around on the lake, and it sounded like barking dogs were in the back yard. A Lazer pointer would work wonders to shoo them to the other side of the lake and became a nightly ritual before going to bed at night. The high point was during winter months when the lake would freeze and the Bald Eagle population would come hunting. These birds are so lazy that the only way there would be any open water was because the Ducks would swim around and keep some open water while the Geese would often get a foot or two frozen on the lake surface because they wouldn't even bother to move their feet around. When they did move around on the ice it would become the color of their droppings.
  23. Just got back from a very pleasant week in the Indiana & Michigan boarder area visiting a few great Wineries with weather in the 70's. Returned to the KC area to upper 90's with heat indices in the 100+ range for the foreseeable future and 20 to 30 mph winds. Could be compared to putting your head in a convection oven.
