Funny everyone is mentioning FedX drivers. Just yesterday my wife and I got back from shopping and lunch, I have to get out of her car so she can get as close to the garage wall as possible to allow our car doors not to hit each other's car in the garage. I'm standing just outside of the garage when I hear a sound that I recognized right away. The sucking sound of an internal combustion engine with the throttle wide open. The driver was coming out of the street about half a block from where I was standing and almost didn't stop for the stop sign at that corner, then guns it again past where I'm standing and then blows through the stop sign on the corner where we live. From there it is a block to the larger roadway and out of the area. You could hear him going up the slight grade going up the main road again with the engine wide open. My thought is they are hiring people with little or no driving skills who may have never operated a vehicle with the power of these big 1 ton plus delivery vans. They're "drunk" with the power and the sound of the engine. I would like to be a mouse in the corner when they have to explain to whoever is in charge of the fleet why their rig is broken or run into or over someone.
