I tend to dis-agree. for example. Just to put a number on it There are 25 produced / sold , all listed in the auction format. He's done well. And sure enough interest dies off. Add in the mold deteriorates and owner decided not to recast it due to slow down in sales But IMO more can/would be sold if its listed at a far market price . One hit, boom done. My gut tells me quite a few more would get sold. ,,,again IMO only

VERY well said. I tend to agree with both sides here. Its his product to sell in his fashion / method of choice. I tend to avoid auctions per-say. when I do make a bid its either at the last few seconds to keep shill bidders from driving it up in the name of profit. If a last second bid is not feasible. I'll put my max bid in if/ when I can.( typically within the last few hours ) and walk away. If I get it,,,fine, if not ,,also fine. In regards to the subject matter here , Thanks. But It's of zero interest to me at any price

Well, I know of at least one out there that's not factory stock. I was at a Mopar show in Ocala Florida several years back and what pulls in the lot of our hotel. But a really nice looking early 30s Imperial. Memory tells me it was a 32 but i may be off by a year or 2 . Best I remember I think it was a dark red body with a really dark red ,,( ok maybe black ) fenders. Under the hood was a completely stock 426 hemi, auto, and A/C. If you didn't hear it run or happen to see it with the hood opened up. You would never have guess it was anything but oem factory stock. Right down to the wire wheels and wide whitewall tires . It was that cool.

Something ive been pondering for some time now. Seems most mopar kits produced come with a Dana rear axle. And most of the kits i like to build had the 8.3/4 axle. So....... How would a newbie go about making copies of say maybe the rear axle from the amt 1971 Charger as an example . I think its the widest one avail so can be narrowed if the project needed it.

Looking real good. This kit is easily my favorite kit to build. as far as opening the hood vents is really not as hard as you might think A dremel on low speed is all thats needed, I did one several years ago , then used some scrap door screen I had around to fill the opening.

I built a early 30s kit several years ago for a friend. Used thread like this. Run it across a candle to take the fuzz off of it and it actually looks very accurate I have a 33 Chrysler Imperial kit I have on my short list and plan to do exactly this all over again , very soon

Believe me. Ive given that some thought. But until we become empty nesters. Im out of other ideas. The cases im interested in are lighted. Plus I can run some auxiliary lighting there as well if needed. Im not so much concerned with seeing them up close. But more so get them out of boxes and displayed the best i can . At least for maybe a couple more years untill my girls leave home. After that one of the spare bedrooms will become office/ car room.

Back about 1979 or so. I worked in the lawn and garden dept and a local retailer. One day had to go load a couple bags of mulch for a customer. We walked up to a dark green Vega hatchback,,,maybe a 72 or 73 maybe .. I commented about the 5 lug rallye wheels and he just smiled. So we talked for a few minutes. Guys parents had bought it new and it was a hand me down to him with a very tired 4 cyl.. So he decided to turn it up a notch for a street toy. Turned out the car had a smog motor 454 stuffed in it. I remember he told me the car actually handled fairly well for being that nose heavy. Was actually very decent on gas. But,,,,,, was quite the handful if you even barely leaned on the gas to much,,. he said you better have it pointed where you wanted to go because you were gonna get there quickly. weird part is there was no huge tires under it ( maybe a G60-14 ) wasn't real loud when running. And just a small hood scoop to clear the carb and air cleaner.

Yes, the area I have avail is right at 4+1/2' feet tall. Ive been up on said ledge painting it so I'm confident it will handle the weight no problem

Ok, With us being in the new place. My old 5 ft tall cases are not going to work, as I simply do not have the floor space for them any longer I have an area above the family room ( I'll call it a ledge so to speak ) I was thinking either build glass shelving with glass front or buy some nice wall mounted cases. The area I have avail is approx 4.5" tall and maybe 20' in overall length. I'm thinking something like this as an example. Not cheap by any means . But I think these would work perfectly . Luckily i had the opportunity to meet them all. Ronnie sox was my idol since i was a kid. Both Ronnie and Bob were very easy to talk to. Grumpy. Maybe i caught him on a bad day. But......he earned the nickname
