  1. pretty cool. I for one would LOVE to ride along in a hot lap in one of these
  2. How deep is your wallet . This is about right for an unbuilt https://www.ebay.com/itm/MPC-1975-Plymouth-Duster-Annual-Kit-MINT-Unbuilt-Sealed-Inside-NM-Box/202315953781?hash=item2f1af87675:g:bqEAAOSwPN1amGY6 This auction has a Sox and Martin pro stock builder in it , which is a 1973 . appears to be missing bumpers https://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-MPC-PRO-STOCK-PLYMOUTH-DUSTER-LOT-1-25/282995336632?hash=item41e3d625b8:g:FRgAAOSwb39bFc9m a distressed 73 promo should go cheap https://www.ebay.com/itm/1973-Plymouth-Duster-Dealer-Promo-Model-1-25-scale/132648898386?hash=item1ee27d8f52:g:Wt8AAOSwdhlbFFvo
  3. Trying to make that Dart kit look like a Duster is huge task . As about the only thing it has in common with a Duster is the basic shape of the body. IMO,,,,You can probably find a decent builder actual 75 Duster without hurting the wallet to bad . the 73 to 75 Duster kits are not real hateful to find as a decent builtup / builder. Odds are you can find one for not much more than this dart kit costs . I sold the 2 or 3 parts kit Dusters I had last year. and I don't think I got maybe $40 for them ( there were 2 or 3 builders in the lot )
  4. meh, Sorry . Not a fan of the hot wheels look in the 1/1 world
  5. As far as I'm concerned, a 1:1 vintage Ferrari is just another item that's only good for "looking at". Steve Although that may be the norm with Ferrari owners. I know of a couple BIG MONEY cars that get flogged fairly regularly . One ladyy I know of has an early 30s Alfa Romeo, she runs the day lights out of Her thought is anything can be fixed, and she can afford to do pretty much anything she wants , when she wants . Cool, Not for me, but still pretty cool. And I for one don't care for the Testarossa . I much prefer the GTO
  6. Agreed. the decal sheet will determine how well this issue sells,,,or not . it WILL be the determining factor if I buy one or not
  7. GREAT thread ,so keep the pictures ( of all kinds) coming. I can SO remember walking down isles like these , pondering exactly which one I was going to spend my allowance on that particular day . Bought my very model kit at Sids Drug store in Elsmere Ky . If I remember right , kit, glue and a bottle of paint was less than $2 I'm guessing I was less than 10 at the time, so that would have been about 1968 or 69 . My how times have changed . And I so miss days like that Looking at these pics, Makes me wonder if ANYONE in these pics is A - alive. B- still doing models of any kind, and C - a member of this very board Also , for a little side fun . how many can date these pictures ? last one I'm guessing is 1965 , maybe early 1966 ( 65 barracuda kit on the table )
  8. Ive bought several items from that detroit group. And NONE of it has failed to please me. Them boys make some nice stuff
  9. Very nice. Lots of high end iron there. Although most of them I would walk right by to ck out the vintage stuff. But I'll take any one of them for the day ,,just for giggles The local Mercedes dealer around here does something similar once a year. High end exotics and muscle cars take over there lot for the day.
  10. scale motorsports makes them https://www.scalemotorsport.com/decals/upholstery-pattern-decals.html
  11. Newest addition. Original and only edition MPC 1972 Plymouth Duster. I already have a clean built Arlen Vanke built from this same kit. So this one will be built replica stock, ( someday )
  12. I'll pull a couple of the CMG kits this weekend and send your way . they may just be parts kits. ( missing a body or possibly and interior tub ) But they should be provide the chassis /under hood / drive train stuff you need just pm me an address. btw, Ive looked and looked and cant find the hubcaps from the Lawman. So I don't know if I got rid of them long ago or they simply vanished in the pile somewhere
  13. I would be curious to see confirmation these kits originated as MPC. I have both the this lindberg and original MPC kits . and other than they both are shaped like a challenger. I fail to see anything that indicates they started life as MPC kits/tools That said, Ive seen a few of these Lindberg kits built. And with just a little bit of work can be made to look pretty decent . Especially for the initial price point compared to original MPC kits. ps, I dont remember who it was. But someone on this board converted one of them to a 1970 using the recent revell kit as parts . And it looked killer
  14. What the difference . one just lighter than the other? if so, which one ?4
  15. Dodge did. Although I am pretty sure they sold off the rights and the tooling . So I dont know WHO is making the next generation
  16. I'll probably pick one of these up. I already have maybe a half dozen of the Model King versions. Just dont have the decals to do this particular car.
  17. Ive been away from the model bench for some time. and Didnt realize Jack Smith had the decals to do this particular car. I guess I will have to ck his lists again in the near future. This car the same maroon as the Thunderbolts ?
  18. Had a recent trade with Bryon Hobbs aka PlymouthFan I had his end of the trade even before I had my end packed and shipped. Super happy with the deal
  19. I'm not a customs fan per say. But this is cool
  20. Sweet, Where are the decals from? And , resin interior I assume ?
  21. Not sure that I personally would call it beautiful. As Ive never cared for the shark fin running the length of the car myself. BUT, its definitely near the top of most any dream car list. 1 of 2 is about as exclusive as you can get
  22. I love these early B bodies. and the color is a HUGE plus for me. So you already know you have my attention pm if you need a couple of the CMG Dodge kits as parts kits
  23. Close, but I need it in street form or not interested I'm not against a diecast either if its the correct year . I can find all kinds of them , just wrong year .
  24. Agreed, I had a few over the years and something always looked ' OFF ' to me. not to mention the grille in the gtx is weird ( I've never had a roadrunner version to compare them side by side )
