Createx recommends 25% flow enhancer (called Createx 4030 balancing clear) when using their Auto Air, Createx Illustration & Wicked Colors and 20% for their Pearls, Aluminums and Metallics. I usually use 25 to 30% reducer and shoot in the low 20 psi range. I spray bodies with a Procon PS290 and other parts, sometimes, with a Paasche H.

+1 Hugh said everything I should have said. I really like the Createx lines of paint. Use them like the company instructions say and you'll be a happy camper.

I only use the Createx products. I've tried saving money on paint products by using cheaper alternatives. Doesn't work as well.

Sort of looks like a cross between a Chrysler Atlantic Concept Car and a 40 Ford. I love stuff like this. Originality, art, cool.

Not a good eye, just talking from experience. I started one of these and wasn't satisfied with the results. Biggest problem was the louvers. To get the seam right, most of the detail of the louvers was gone. I might make my own louvers, just sand it smooth and apply them.

I'll be interested to see how you solve the issue of the seam down the middle and still make the louvers on top look right.

Get a bilge blower on ebay.

Both. Distilled water is just H2O, no chlorine, fluoride, etc. Cheap too.

Next time, I recommend you get a gallon of distilled water to use to dip the decals in.

Not necessarily. I use a Procon Boy PS290. Sprays an oval pattern and is a near identical copy of an expensive Iwata model. I still say start with a Paasche H. Inexpensive and it produces great results. But then, it is your money.

That's the coolest story! Maybe I missed it but what year is the bike? In the 60s and 70s I rode Honda 305 Scrambler, Yamaha DT125, Honda TL125, 2 Honda 125 Elsinores, Husqvarna 125, Suzuki PE400 (beast) and my last one was a Yamaha IT200. Best Bike I ever had. My aching bones are testament to the many times I overestimated my abilities.

If that's the case, I'll be lost. I permanently quit Farcebook and never looked back so it's the on line forums for me. This forum is like the autox.team.net forums that Mark Bradakis (sp) runs. If something happens to either of them, there are a lot of people that will be upset. I've never met either guy but they both do a great service. Marks operation is much bigger than Gregg's and he does ask for donations when upgrading his equipment. I have donated. I was a member of his forums back in the 90s. I sure hope Gregg has a plan B to hand off the "football" to someone.

I use the cheap Walmart flat white paint for the inside of mine. Put a good coat of primer on the wood first.

I agree with Steve on the metallics. The small metallic particles will sink to the bottom of a gravity feed. They'll also sink to the bottom of a syphon feed bottle. Either way, you wind up with too much metallic on some places and not enough on others. If you're lucky, it won't be too noticeable. Solid colors aren't as much of a problem and you can wait a little longer between coats. Maybe 10-15 minutes. If you have to wait longer than that, let it dry completely before you do anything to it.

Just wanted to mention a safety tip here. I'd store all those tools with the sharp sides down. I dipped the end of the Xacto handles in different paint to ID the different blades that are attached easier.

Ditto on the above. Put the top on in the summer. I sympathize with you. I sort of finished a 917K Porsche on 7/18 and haven't touched anything since. Too much other work to do but I gotta make time to get back to the bench.
