Jurva Posted February 6, 2020 Posted February 6, 2020 Almost box stock Fujimi Golf R32. I had this Hobby Design skibox, and wanted to build an european style car. So I got this Golf. Changed wheels and added some camber. Also painted the hood with some stripes. Idea came from coffee mug.
matthijsgrit Posted February 6, 2020 Posted February 6, 2020 Nice build. I like the paint, the stripes and the different color mirrors. Nice detail. Not a fn of the front camber, but that's personal. You did a great build!
Belugawrx Posted February 6, 2020 Posted February 6, 2020 Wow very clean, realistic looking build. Well done... Cheers?
Rodent Posted February 6, 2020 Posted February 6, 2020 Looks nice. I have been wanting to pick one of these up. I have a colleague that daily drives his 1:1.
espo Posted February 6, 2020 Posted February 6, 2020 Very sharp clean looking build. The stripes add a different look and I like how it looks on this.
kelson Posted February 6, 2020 Posted February 6, 2020 Looks very slick!!,I love the rear bumper stickers!!
Phildaupho Posted February 6, 2020 Posted February 6, 2020 Very sharp looking Golf. I owned a VR6 GTI for many years so the R32 was my dream car.
Jurva Posted February 7, 2020 Author Posted February 7, 2020 Wheels are cambered versions, inside is thinner than the outside. It's also style choice in european and japanese cars.
stitchdup Posted February 7, 2020 Posted February 7, 2020 Very cool, I like the stripes you added too especially since they aren't seen on veedubs much

Koellefornia Kid Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 Tuned VWs are a family sight here in Germany but very few of the 1:1 cars I see on our streets are looking that nice! Well done!
Funkychiken Posted February 11, 2020 Posted February 11, 2020 Really sharp build, and you captured Europe quite well!
89AKurt Posted February 11, 2020 Posted February 11, 2020 Very well executed Golf! I owned a '91 Jetta GLi, loved the engine sound, had fun auto crossing it. I have another roof carrier, Fujimi parts kit, would like to do something like this. Nice stripe graphics, simple and clean. Personal subjective opinion, hate the wheel stance, but to each their own; in my town the roads are rough, and I don't follow dudes with Miatas like this, when a dip is coming, they have to slow down to 3.5 MPH.
PatW Posted February 11, 2020 Posted February 11, 2020 Super Golf! I've used the Fujimi roof rack top boxes and mountain bikes on a few of my builds. Our eldest son who runs a haulage company out of Calgary, Canada is on his second or third R32.

Haha. Yeah. I wouldn't too set up my car like that. Too much wear on tyres. Sometimes though, little bit of camber adds good amount of aggressiveness to the overall look. Sidenote: The way you told your opinion, was a great example to lots of people. 10 points.

I owned a MINI Cooper, an '03 and '06. The rear has a built-in negative camber, which helped for handling, had fun doing track days with the '03. The bigger MINIs, think it's the Clubman, the negative camber is really severe. For some reason, I could not get over a year out of the tires. ? I like the lowered look, with tires barely missing the fender, I know they roll the fender lip to accomplish that. But would like to see them drive my favorite mountain roads.
89AKurt Posted February 12, 2020 Posted February 12, 2020 BTW: This VW is tastefully done with the stance, after looking at this article with extreme examples, it looks normal. ? https://jalopnik.com/how-the-hell-does-this-car-drive-5918475
Plowboy Posted February 12, 2020 Posted February 12, 2020 Really nice looking VW! Love the wheels, stance and camber! The stripes and mirrors were excellent touches! Really impressed with the realism of the tail lights. How was that accomplished? Great work all around!
