Randy D Posted July 14, 2020 Author Posted July 14, 2020 This next part is Tim's fault... Made up a new fan shroud band out of brass and a couple of nuts/bolts... Next up is the coil, Pro tecs piece with some detail added...
Randy D Posted July 14, 2020 Author Posted July 14, 2020 Adding some stacks, RB Motion items... Thanks for looking in! Randy
afx Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 Engine looks great Randy. I've had issues getting the Fujimi engine to fit and still allow the engine cover to close. Hope you don't run into any problems.
absmiami Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 Hey Randy. - how’d you get your fingers so large ?? Ooph ... .. ...
Codi Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 WOOF! Silly good Randy. Now, I want you to..............just kidding. You set a super high bar all by yourself. The entire engine just POPS. The detail on the coil is a head turner in its own right and made me stare for a few minutes in and of itself. Cheers sir!
Lowlife ! ! Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 Wow, amazing work ! Must admit you build the most realistic looking engines I've ever seen ! Love all those linkages and wiring, just incredible !
Dominik Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 i'm speechless about the Pictures from the engine . Wow.
gasser59 Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 There ya go Randy, you're another one who now proves he isn't human. That engine is so perfect and the detail is over the top. The small amount of weathering, I would swear you have a shrink ray. Glad to see you're back to building and posting, my friend.
dino246gt Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 (edited) Oh man, I spewed my coffee! WOW, speechless. Edited July 14, 2020 by dino246gt
doorsovdoon Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 This is ridiculous! (in a good way) I'm having a hard time telling which engine in the pictures is the real one, Lol!
chris chabre Posted July 14, 2020 Posted July 14, 2020 I am not a European sports car guy at all, but Ill def following this!!! beautiful work!!!
beeRS Posted July 15, 2020 Posted July 15, 2020 My jaw just hit the floor. Im struggling to seperate the pics of the model engine from the 1:1.
AmericanMuscleFan Posted July 15, 2020 Posted July 15, 2020 This is absolutely FANTASTIC Randy! You probably have the best ability to make model parts so real! I will certainly follow your build, it's just a great way to keep me fully motivated... I love your work sir!!!
Pete J. Posted July 15, 2020 Posted July 15, 2020 Randy, I spent many an hour under the hood of my 74 911. It was a later model but I am very familiar with that engine. Superb replica! Hopefully you are going to put that engine on a stand outside of the model, otherwise all that great detail gets lost under the body work. Can't wait to see that rest of it.
Bernard Kron Posted July 15, 2020 Posted July 15, 2020 Great to see you at the bench on a new project. Looks surrealistically real - colors and proportions all scale. Wonderful!
dbostream Posted July 16, 2020 Posted July 16, 2020 That engine is too beautiful to hide in a car, it should be displayed on its own.
