With what I have learned since I joined the site I have continually tried to step up my game on my builds and today I finished the BMF on one of my currrent builds. It is my first kit to have all the chrome on the body done with BMF. What do you all think?

Thanks Guys, I was really happy with the way it came out being my first one. I will say everything I learned about it came from here I never even knew what it was before coming here, so you all get the credit.....

Yep, looks fine. Foiling definately takes practice and it definately improves over time. My last job I tried the masking tape method as a guide. Worked darn good.

That looks great.  It gets easier after 4 or 5 times.  Do a 50s car and after that it wont seem so bad.   Sometimes I get it good the first try and other times I gotta do it over a few times.   Eventually you'll wonder how you ever got by without it.

It's funny you say that I was thinking about starting a 57 Ford wagon I have next...  LOL

Thanks Guys...

Just wait til you decide to do a '60 Impala SS. ?

Reminds me of my best friend who has stainless auto trim shop. He recently finished a 59 Chevy and said there was 200-feet of stainless to polish. You wouldn't think so to look at it.

Great work on the BMF Brian, you're well on your way.

Looks great!  BMF is one of those products that was exciting to discover, still prefer over the Molotov pen.  Only trouble is when the adhesive goes bad, it has a shelf life.

Your foil job looks great to me. The corners of the windshield and vent windows always seem the hardest for myself but yours look just fine.

Thanks guys I'm rather excited to do another one but I'm sure that novelty will wear off lol..., I could definitely see the old Impalas being a challenge there is a lot of trim on them.

Thanks guys, it really turned out to be easier than I thought it would be so hopefully that will inspire me to use it all the time...

I think you did an outstanding job Brian, BMF is all I ever use on my builds I actually enjoy applying it only down side for me is that it's so time consuming but well worth the effort!!

Thanks Guys

I'd also BMF the side marker lights and then go over them with ead and yellow markers.

Now that you mention that I was thinking about doing that and going over it with the red and amber model masters I have, I figured the BMF would show though and make it pop but I hadn't thought about using sharpies on it. I guess time to run a test to see which comes out better...
