Lotsa great looking machinery on this thread.

Kinda makes me wonder if the folks who designed this horrible mess had ever actually SEEN a car before...

Horrible mess indeed.  Nicely stated!

As far as trucks go......

Now that tops my 4x4 list for sure! I like my Willys too, but the drivetrains were weak.

Black’s got to be the best color for it too....

I agree with you!

This is one of those examples of how amazing it is to me how Chrysler could make such a seemingly weird and homely car look so aggressive!

I just started watching the reruns of Crime Story on Pluto TV, and I think the hero is driving one of these. Crime Story is a great show if you like spotting cars of the '50s/early '60s.

ETA: Just checked the webernets and apparently it was a '57. Sorry.

I do like the Daytona, best are the Plexiglass front ones with 9 inch rear wheels.

Here's my selection:

Since we had a larger family I grew up with a love for the GM "clamshell" station wagon's Dad bought a new Catalina 400 wagon in 1971 which was a Brown color Pontiac called it bronze.

I think the one that says “1973” on the license plate would have to be my favorite .... just because it’s green.

Well, if we're doing trucks as well, for me it's the GMT400 series.

1988 through 1998. Well, through 2000 if we include the Tahoe/Yukon.

For me, there is no bad angle, and there nothing "wrong" with these. Design, function...everything just perfect.

Probably my favourite American car design has to be the '65/'66 Pontiac Bonneville's and Grand Prix, just stunning lines all round.
