We've upgraded the forum software to the current version. I apologize for the short notice, but there was a security patch that needed to be expeditiously installed.

There are some minor changes to the forum's appearance, but nothing drastic. Mobile users should see some significant improvements in usability. I'm already noting much better readability on my desktop and tablet.

Please let me know if you encounter any problems.

I haven't had much time to check out "said changes".... but dang Dave!   really like the crisp clean look!   Thanks for all you do for us here!!

Super crisp looking?...Thank you for what you do!

***Just went through some topics and noticing the condensed window of quotes and the time stamp placed between last update posts on WIP’s.... VERY NICE!?

No edit function apparently...

Click the three dots on the upper right hand corner of your post for the edit option. I just tried it and it worked.

It is there, but they moved (hid) it.  It is those 3 dots on the upper right.  Clock to open a menu. Very silly.

All I get from that is "REPORT" and "SHARE"

Then it is ether not your post you are trying to edit, or the post has been locked (timed out).  If it is editable, there is a 3rd choice "edit". Try it on the posts you just created.

When I posted what I posted, IT DID NOT WORK.

Now, for whatever reason, it does.

But thanks just the same.

Thank you, Dave.  Seems crisper (no, not crispier).   And, faster!

Place looks nicer!

However,

I just updated one of my WIP threads and inserted Fotki photo links as I've always done and once posted it shows the link text, not the pictures. The initial pictures from last weekend are linked exactly the same way and show up fine?

Here's an example:

I just took the URL (link) part of the text you posted and pasted it above. It shows up as I would expect.  Why are you using the [URL][IMG][/IMG][/URL] tags around it?  This forum doesn't use them. Just paste the direct URL.  Here is what I pasted to have the above photo show up:

That is the link that Fotki provides for forums. It's what I have put for years and years, literally thousands of pictures. When I try to remove the tags it still shows the text underlined and clickable just as you show above. No picture.

Well then, the forum update did something.  I use the type of tags that you use, but not on this forum. Here, I always just pasted the untagged URL into the text editor window, and the photos would show up.  I'm on a Windows laptop.  Does Fotki also provide direct link to the photo (like the one I used to show your photo)?  Unless the admins can change some settings, you might have to start using direct URL links.
