bogger44 Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 Fresh off the bench today. A pretty straight forward build, wired up the engine bay, Keith Marks decals, and Fireball Modelworks tire lettering decals. I separated the exhaust from the rear axle, threw on some aluminum tips, and added some parts box shocks since none are supplied with this kit. Hopefully the Mopar gods don't strike me down, as it is painted in Model Master Huggar Orange. I love how it ended up looking in this color. A fun build that has become one of my favorites among my herd of builds. Thanks for taking a gander and any comments & questions. 4
bisc63 Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 Really impressive appearance; a real muscle car! Well done.
larman Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 Well done! Nice color combo. The wheels and tires are perfect for it!
Classicgas Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 Very nicely done. As a street machine hugger orange is just fine.
Plowboy Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 That is sharp as a tack Tony! The paint, stance and foil work are really nice! That's one of my favorite Monogram kits from back in the day. I have one in the stash to build someday. Yours makes me want to build it right now! Nice work!
Dragonhawk1066 Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 Well done! And a great color for it! If memory serves, that's a really nice kit and hopefully is on Revell's re-release docket soon.
drodg Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 Nice clean build. I have that kit and should get started on it.
Smitty Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 Excellent work on your GTX! Your paint and foil work is superb. I really like the finishes you gave the interior as well, they’re very convincing. Great wheel and tire choice too. Those torque thrusts are ‘all business’!
TooOld Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 Oh my that is drop dead gorgeous !! And I really like it in Hugger Orange .
espo Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 Beautiful looking paint and body trim. Perfect stance for the subject. very clean looking under the hood as well as the interior.
Zippi Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 Good looking GTX. Some of your pics could pass as a 1:1. Nice job.
Hi-Po Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 Outstanding build! Beautifully done, nice and clean. I like it.
Snake45 Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 Wow, what a clean, beautiful build! More please--I'll gladly look at anything else you want to show us. Well done and model on!
bogger44 Posted June 25, 2021 Author Posted June 25, 2021 I really appreciate all the nice comments guys! This is a pretty decent kit. Like the other Monogram musclecar kits it's fairly simplified, but does build up well and looks the part. One regret I have is not deepening the panel lines to get some wash in them. After primer & paint they got buried a fair bit and figured they would look a little messy if I tried throwing some Tamiya panel line in them. Oh well.

Beans Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 That looks great!! Love the interior. How did you get the texture on the seats??
