James2 Posted December 5, 2021 Posted December 5, 2021 Another must finish rod! I started this with a Drag City body and an idea. Don’t ask when! But I’m gonna paint and finish it next. 58 Chevy styling and a bunch of chassis mods from the parts box. 4
NOBLNG Posted December 5, 2021 Posted December 5, 2021 It’s got nice lines…should look great when it’s done.? 2
Steve H Posted December 6, 2021 Posted December 6, 2021 Great looking body work, very creative build. Cheers, Steve 1
ChopSauce Posted December 6, 2021 Posted December 6, 2021 Awesome! This is what scaled custom building is all about... ? 1
Zippi Posted December 6, 2021 Posted December 6, 2021 Nice looking little Hot Rod. That Dodge engine looks right at home setting in the business end. 1
geemoney Posted December 6, 2021 Posted December 6, 2021 love it all i especially love the 58 tail and the trunk lines! 1
Spex84 Posted December 7, 2021 Posted December 7, 2021 Love it so far! The narrowed '58 tail and basket-handle roof are super cool. I feel like the sides of the body could use some contouring or a molded beltline mimicking the '58 design. Or maybe some radical exhaust headers 1
Pat Minarick Posted December 7, 2021 Posted December 7, 2021 I remember this , it will be good to see it done. 1
mustang1989 Posted December 7, 2021 Posted December 7, 2021 Looking forward to progress on this one. 1
espo Posted December 7, 2021 Posted December 7, 2021 The '58 Chevy aft section looks good but you didn't mention the Edsel style grill shell. 1

James2 Posted December 9, 2021 Author Posted December 9, 2021 Not my best finish, had some dust issues but it will do. I’m excited to do the interior and finish this one up. 3
mustang1989 Posted December 10, 2021 Posted December 10, 2021 Not your best finish?? Wow!! Now THAT.....looks great!!! 1
espo Posted December 10, 2021 Posted December 10, 2021 What do you have in mind for the windshield, tail and the head lights? Great looking color and the finish looks nice and smooth.

Great looking color and the finish looks nice and smooth. Window is going to be a short contoured piece not to much to take away from the open air look. Head lights are the small buckets from one of the 32 ford kits. And the paint isn't to bad just had some dust and thick clear spots to clean up. It hard to see but it actually is darker on the bottom and fades to light at the center of the roof. Thanks... Edited December 10, 2021 by James2 1
alan barton Posted December 11, 2021 Posted December 11, 2021 I'm seeing a some Ed Roth with a touch of Darryl Starbird here! Are you thinking of stripes of some sort to highlight the fins, James? Cheers Alan 1
James2 Posted December 12, 2021 Author Posted December 12, 2021 Except for adding some taillights and lens and maybe some touch up I think it is almost done. I hope to use the custom lights from the 58 kit. 1
