Another must finish rod! I started this with a Drag City body and an idea. Don’t ask when! But I’m gonna paint and finish it next. 58 Chevy styling and a bunch of chassis mods from the parts box.

Love it so far! The narrowed '58 tail and basket-handle roof are super cool.  I feel like the sides of the body could use some contouring or a molded beltline mimicking the '58 design. Or maybe some radical exhaust headers

The '58 Chevy aft section looks good but you didn't mention the Edsel style grill shell.

The body sides were one of the hang ups for me but I have an idea.

Not my best finish, had some dust issues but it will do. I’m excited to do the interior and finish this one up.

What do you have in mind for the windshield, tail and the head lights? Great looking color and the finish looks nice and smooth.

Window is going to be a short contoured piece not to much to take away from the open air look. Head lights are the small buckets from one of the 32 ford kits. And the paint isn't to bad just had some dust and thick clear spots to clean up. It hard to see but it actually is darker on the bottom and fades to light at the center of the roof.

I'm seeing a some Ed Roth with a touch of Darryl Starbird here!  Are you thinking of stripes of some sort to highlight the fins, James?

Except for adding some taillights and lens and maybe some touch up I think it is almost done. I hope to use the custom lights from the 58 kit.
