Found this a couple weekends ago while looking for a set of tires for my E-Revo.  Had initially bought it to try on my Losi Micro Desert Truck maybe 15 years ago but the decklid didn’t clear the transmission on that as well as the late 60’s GTO did, so I think I decided to make this a little lead sled, but forgot about it. The club Dad and I are members of has build nights over the 3 summer months, so I decided to bring this to work on!

In a confused time when I had a hard time concentrating on the last (painting among other things) on my TROG 34 coupe, it became (yet) a side track with this one.
I myself am very hesitant to build or try to build copies of private cars so it will be my own interpretation with the elements that I think define the car, the front, babymoons, rear wheel arches, the rear and an OHW V8. That a custom with these elements was built in Stockholm Sweden in 1964 feels almost unreal. There will be quite a lot of putty to grind soon enough. The kit is a jumping block bought at some exhibition and it feels like someone missed these parts over the years and finally got together an almost complete kit with bad parts…

I've had this Cord 812 for years, tried to build it a couple times, couldn't get into it. Yesterday I was looking for some parts for another project and these Mercedes tires and rims crossed my view. I look up and there's the box for the Cord. Hmmm, now I'll have to build a retro-custom of it. Focus found!

Oh my!   I love a good mock up and dig this thread.

This is how I want Richard's Belvedere to sit, but the front is sittin' on the crossmember - it'll have to come up a mm or two. (Or I guess we could shave the crossmember... hmmm ?)

I always do some mockups before going in on the suspension.  Cool thread!

I got some of the Model A engine done. Looks like the plug wires will have to over the bars but that's ok.

It looks cool so far.

IRL, I think I would find a way to route the plug wires around behind the engine.
