Joe Handley Posted June 9, 2024 Posted June 9, 2024 Found this a couple weekends ago while looking for a set of tires for my E-Revo. Had initially bought it to try on my Losi Micro Desert Truck maybe 15 years ago but the decklid didn’t clear the transmission on that as well as the late 60’s GTO did, so I think I decided to make this a little lead sled, but forgot about it. The club Dad and I are members of has build nights over the 3 summer months, so I decided to bring this to work on! 1

Ulf Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 In a confused time when I had a hard time concentrating on the last (painting among other things) on my TROG 34 coupe, it became (yet) a side track with this one. I myself am very hesitant to build or try to build copies of private cars so it will be my own interpretation with the elements that I think define the car, the front, babymoons, rear wheel arches, the rear and an OHW V8. That a custom with these elements was built in Stockholm Sweden in 1964 feels almost unreal. There will be quite a lot of putty to grind soon enough. The kit is a jumping block bought at some exhibition and it feels like someone missed these parts over the years and finally got together an almost complete kit with bad parts… See the link to Kustomrama Bengt Wennergren's 1949 Ford - Kustomram https://eur02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fkustomrama.com%2Fwiki%2FBengt_Wennergren%2527s_1949_Ford&data=05%7C02%7CUlf.Nordemyr%40vasakronan.se%7Cee42b1972aa14ddb807908dc6a77fdca%7Cdd7191f1e8a340e9a8427857b1aadee7%7C1%7C0%7C638502310782280141%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=QY%2FiDP3h634yUdDL1XjYUHodNTe9pCdYTjLagBOdx8g%3D&reserved=0 6

Cool Hand Posted June 18, 2024 Posted June 18, 2024 Some new 3D printed and freshly painted wheels for a Torana build. Files can be found on cults3d, rims are from MorriesKustoms and redline tyres from Scale-Model-Wheels-And-Design. 5

Steve H Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 Getting closer to the finish line with this build. Time for a mock up to inspire me to git’r done. 8
carl63_99 Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 I've had this Cord 812 for years, tried to build it a couple times, couldn't get into it. Yesterday I was looking for some parts for another project and these Mercedes tires and rims crossed my view. I look up and there's the box for the Cord. Hmmm, now I'll have to build a retro-custom of it. Focus found! 10
SpikeSchumacher Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 That's going to be cool Carl! Is that the old Lindbergh kit?

Coyote_6 Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 (edited) Oh my! I love a good mock up and dig this thread. This is how I want Richard's Belvedere to sit, but the front is sittin' on the crossmember - it'll have to come up a mm or two. (Or I guess we could shave the crossmember... hmmm ?) I always do some mockups before going in on the suspension. Cool thread! Steve Edited June 21, 2024 by Coyote_6 4

mchook Posted June 23, 2024 Posted June 23, 2024 I got some of the Model A engine done. Looks like the plug wires will have to over the bars but that's ok. 4

Keef Posted June 29, 2024 Posted June 29, 2024 AMT 65 GTO curbside. I think I got the stance nailed down. Now to pick colors and continue. 7
