1959scudetto Posted January 1, 2023 Posted January 1, 2023 (edited) Once again, no new kit completed, but 3 started and 7 former built-ups disassembled and prepared for rebuilding. Finished in 2022 (most already shown here): 2 old kits reworked (Italeri California Spider, Heller Porsche 907/908): Some die-cast modified: 2 Fiats turned into Abarths: 2 fictitious rally cars: Simca 1000 and Renault 12 and at last - the repair of a damaged DM Town & Country (pic from before the repair) Edited January 2, 2023 by 1959scudetto 7
bbowser Posted January 1, 2023 Posted January 1, 2023 Love the Ferrari! Great work on seldom seen subjects. 1
Gramps46 Posted January 1, 2023 Posted January 1, 2023 Every one of them is looking good but my favorite is the Porsche long tail. 1
Rich Chernosky Posted January 1, 2023 Posted January 1, 2023 Helmut...we all go through stages where we just feel like doing something and pick things that seem the easiest. Its not always what we really want to do but at least it gives us some sort of accomplishment. Your results for 2022 are still worthy of note. And, of course, I like the Ferrari the best. Here's to you having a better year in 2023 and we hope to see more of your outstanding workmanship. 1
spencer1984 Posted January 1, 2023 Posted January 1, 2023 I'd say you still had a great year, that California Spider alone would count as a win in my book! 1
ATHU Posted January 1, 2023 Posted January 1, 2023 They all look fantastic Helmut! !That DM 48 Chrysler is really really nice and my grandad owned a (yellow) Simca 1000 - brings back memories!! 1
Pierre Rivard Posted January 1, 2023 Posted January 1, 2023 I disagree with the title Helmut. You have some great results here. The Ferrari California Spider is very beautiful but I am most impressed by the resurrection of the Hell...er Porsche 908. So much so I think I might start searching eBay for one of these old kits. 1
Bills72sj Posted January 1, 2023 Posted January 1, 2023 I like that pam-pam rally car. Very unique. 1
slusher Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 Great year and wonderful builds not poor at all! 1
TooOld Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 i wouldn't call that poor those are great looking models , you had a great year ! Really like the California Spider ! 1
mustang1989 Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 Looks like you had a pretty dang good year to me Helmut. Great lookin' builds man. 1
1959scudetto Posted January 7, 2023 Author Posted January 7, 2023 Thanks to all of you for the nice comments, guys - I really appreciate that. I think I should spend a lot more time at the workbench creating models instead of sitting in front of my computer for hours every day admiring other people's work. Then the (poor) outcome will raise, too.
Bugatti Fan Posted April 13, 2024 Posted April 13, 2024 Nice models all round! I used to own a Simca 1000 back in the 60's. What scale is your model? Is it 1/24th scale? I would like to know who makes it so that I can get one and make a model of my old car.

Thanks, Noel - yes, they are all 1/24 scale - the Simca has been released about 15 years ago in the Italian Quattroruote newsstand series with opening hood, doors and trunk. It has been reissued several times in different series (all made by Ixo) but without opning panels. For instance,Modelissimo (Germany) has it for € 17,96 (stock version) and for € 19,95 (rally 2) - click on the following link : https://www.modelissimo.eu/ and then choose scale 1/24 and "Fabbri Editori" for the stock and "White Box" for the rally 2 .
Lobo2me Posted April 14, 2024 Posted April 14, 2024 Nothing "poor" about this bunch. I particularly like the Simca 1000. Well done all! 1
ea0863 Posted April 14, 2024 Posted April 14, 2024 Wonderful job Helmut on some rarely seen models. Thank you for posting! 1
Bugatti Fan Posted April 14, 2024 Posted April 14, 2024 (edited) Helmut, thanks for your reply with the information and the link you placed in your post. Much appreciated. I had another look at your Italeri Ferrari California Spyder picture. You have made a lovely job of detailing and painting it, and the wire wheels that you replaced on it really look good on the car.
