CabDriver
First one of ‘24 in the bag! I’d been wanting to work on my bare-metal (or ‘natural metal’ as the aircraft guys call it) painting skills, and I haven’t built a Deuce in a while, so this seemed a logical project to start the year Used the Revell 3-window body, chopped, with the 2nd Gen Hemi from the 5-window kits, 3D printed wheels and tires, switched out the airbagged rear end for a Revell Parts Pack Quickchange with a T spring and used about every metalizer paint I own for the various finishes. Build thread here: And some pics…thanks for looking!
rrb124@sbcglobal.net
Very good looking finish and the Hemi is perfect. Fun to see this. Headers are perfect.
Lobo2me
Very nice! I really like the finish treatment on the chopped-top seams! Well done!!!!

Claude Thibodeau
Hi Jim! Very nice, and the chopping "scars" make it even more credible. Bravo! CT

mustang1989
You pulled that off pretty dang well Jim and good usage of the metalizer bud.
espo
Like how you did the body finish and showing where the body was modified and repaired. This has a mean looking stance with those wheel and tires.
Rattlecan Dan
Gobs of realism! Looks really true-to-life. Excellent weathering and detail.

Mr. Metallic
Very nicely done Jim. Thank for taking us along for the ride. I absolutely love the rear tires. The sweep from the tread to the sidewall just nails the vintage bias ply look in my opinion. As always your little 3D printed items are little jewels on the crown. Especially the taillight bezels and carbs. I sent you a PM with a couple questions. Congrats on a well done model, as always I look forward to following the next one.
atomicholiday
This might just be the best build up of this kit I’ve ever seen. The NMF is fantastic. Great idea by the way.👍
