I'd also like some Inglewood slicks, Vogue and Atlas tires .

Auto trans with blanket molded on!

Donovan clutch can, rear end and Airhart disc brakes from the Piranha kit!

30's Buicks and other GM from the 37 Chevy kit, plus sedan and four doors of 30's cars!

I have a 1935 LaSalle convertible coupe that I am in the process of creating files for so I can print it. It has 120 pcs and I'm about half way there. Shooting for the end of the year as all fenders, hood and body plus engine and trans are ready for print. Also have a complete rolling chassis and drive train. I have the file for a 37 Buick 4 door that I have printed the body only. I also have the files for a 39 Olds 40 LaSalle convertible coupe and 37 Delehaye f&f 135. All which are in the future

Doug, could we see a shot of the '37 Buick?

I don't think I've suggested this before - how about a Stutz Blackhawk coupe that would fit the MPC Pontiac Grand Prix chassis?

Or a '50 Plymouth that wasn't cribbed from a crude promo (ditto '50 Studebaker).

Or a thoroughly corrected body and glass for the AMT '58 Plymouth.

Or '62 and '63 Rancheros, preferably with a correct engine compartment (can't believe nobody's done this).

1956 Continental Mk II

There was a resin kit a long time ago, but it was pretty rough. One side of the car was longer than the other.

Racking my brains here. I have seen a LOT of things offered in resin. Here is what I would actually buy as kits if done well:

'75-'77 Chrysler Cordoba

Jensen Interceptor

Aston Martin V8

1981-1988 Dodge Pickup

Also- this has been covered lots on this forum: any repro parts, such as what the Modelhaus had done, would be welcome. Bumpers, grilles, wheels/ hubcaps, hoods, valences, taillights, steering wheels. It does look like some casters have jumped into the repro parts business a bit, but it would be nice to have a go-to like the Modelhaus used to be.

Realistically, I would LOVE to see more GMT400 pieces. The kits (AMT/MPC 88-98 GM trucks) are good, but no K parts, accurate engine bay components, 94+ grilles are available on the Tahoe and dually snapper only. Furthermore, we could use GMC grilles and 94+ mirrors and interior. Would like to have an accurate Vortec engine as well.

Love the Buick!

What is your intent? Does it actually exist?
It reminds me of the Shapeways site, everything is a digital drawing, I won't buy anything without seeing what it really looks like! No criticism of you Doug.

By the way, the Shapeways site is difficult to use, really hard to find stuff and like I said, only digital pictures.

Airtrax does the first gen Cordoba.

I'd like to see a '66 Dodge Coronet 500 convertible. Could be mastered from the REVELL '67 Coronet.

AMT '65 Chevelle Malibu SS. Several repop the '64, but no one does the '65. Just give us the body and associated pieces and we can get everything else we need from the Revell Z16 and other common kits.

Yes, it exists. It's a cad file and it was free. It is on my to do list.

What do you mean?
Has it been printed? Is it in plastic?
Or just a CAD file?
Don't understand, sorry.

Funny, reading thru this thread 9 years after 1st post, how many of these things DO exist now.  Moebius and their pickups, the Rev Bronco, The revell 1/25 Cuda.  Modelhaus Tires are still around, other resin tires and conversion kits seem to pop up all the time.  Several reissues, sometime with new or corrected parts. The 3D Printing industry is primed and starting to flourish.

But I'm also reminded that if something shows up and lights yer match you better jump on it.  We all got real used to Modelhaus being just a call away, never even dawned on anybody they might retire someday.  A lot of these resin casters are, shall we say, in the twilight of their lives.  Company's get bought and sold, never know how long something's gonna be available, (Revell Model A's???).

Remember to patronize the cottage industry and your local shops, if you're lucky enough to have one.   And if you want it, buy it when you see it!!..

Forgot to mention: An accurate "Slim Jim" Roto Hydramatic transmission for the Moebius '61 Catalina/Ventura, the AMT '62 Catalina, and even for a couple vintage kits - the Jo-Han '63 Starfire and AMT '64 Grand Prix.

(Chief Joseph, if you decide to take this on, please put me down for four of them!)

Also these Olds/Buick steelies from the '50s/'60s:

Lots of low-budget drag racers used them along with the Olds rear end; even the '55 Chevy rollover stunt car in American Graffiti had them:

X2.  The '65 Chevelle Malibu SS is my grail car, both 1:1 and scale.  If I ever win the lottery  WILL own another one.

One thing I really want to see are backdating kits for reissues. For example, they keep rereleasing the old AMT and MPC kits. How about a trans kit for the Trans Am, which I like but I want a base model Firebird ala Rockford Files or maybe a 1974-1976 Firebird? How about a 1972 Dodge van body to backdate the MPC van? Bonus points if they do the window van version. Also variations on the newly reissued Dodge truck?

This winter I’m hoping to start making some 3D cad files of parts for these kits that could be sold on Shapeways. Mostly the grilles and suspension systems for the C and K models, but I could look into doing other parts too?

I’d buy them all.

I can think of a few things that would be utterly fantastic to see...

- A new MGB GT transkit for the Aoshima MGB kit (since the AAM kit has become unobtainium)
- A road-going interior for the Belkits MkI Escort to build street cars
- A "low drag" E-Type transkit for the Heller kit.
- A transkit to build a Plus 8 out of the Tamiya Morgan Plus/4.
