Found this at the local Japanese shopping center, Mitsuwa, while I was checking out at their grocery store. They where on the shelf with the candy in the check out line!

They are very nicely detailed and for only around $6 bucks and in 1/24th scale, why not!

Searched all over the internet for the source of those bikes. Closest Mitsuwa to me is in Chicago, about 150 miles.

So I got one of these magnetic tumblers.

It is a jewelry cleaner, using little metal compound spikes and  magnetism to clean and polish metal…like death by a thousand blows but polishing.

The idea is to use it for white metal parts to clean them up say for a couple MFH kits I have?CF916CD6-2DA9-43C8-8B31-4A9FB51AA688.thumb.jpeg.c579a750802c584369fe0383aab76bfb.jpeg

Those F Toys kits look cool - there’s a whole series of them!  They were pretty easy to find on eBay for $10 or so for a while there but I haven’t looked recently.  Thanks for the reminder - cool find!

I got quite a few things this week. Photo etch and resin engine parts for a 66 nova diorama I'm working on and some snow and a 60 VW for a Snow Plow Dio. Also got an exhaust fan so I can start my paint booth build!

Yesterday I went to The Train Shop in Santa Clara, CA and picked up some Plastruct square tubing.  They don't sell model car kits but they do have an excellent selection of Evergreen and Plastruct products.  I you live in the SF bay area and need sheet styrene, I highly recommend The Train Shop.

Well, I went by the store today and they are all gone. I will keep checking to see when they might get some more in.

But, they did have some airplanes and battle ships!

But, you can order the set from some places, when it is back in stock!

Does the Subaru have a wind up motor in it. I have one that does. Pretty cool.

Fellow D.A.A.M. club members and I went to a show near Bay City and I scored a Revival Alfa P3, an IMAI '06 Mercedes, and a what looks to be a test shot of a JoHan '69 AMX. The AMX is lacking windows but I'm hoping I can score something usable at our show next month.

Doesn't appear to have a motor, but I didn't have my glasses on when I looked.

That’s a good deal on the Tamiya AMG  S600.They go for a lot more than that on that auction site.I have been looking for the 4 door version for a decent price.

Truck finally arrived with the 215 V8 block and parts along with the transmission to fit into the TR8.  Looks like inventory time now to see what we all got.  Iceman shipped it LTL freight from Ohio and only took a few days to get here through the storms.

look for a separate WIP build soon! 6A0A3AD3-7516-4FE6-A0C4-40F52074517F.thumb.jpeg.c6f161a2d45055f28c5f19e2661c07c8.jpeg

Finally got my order from Fireball. It took a wile but I'm glad to see that Joseph is up and about. I can't say enough good things about these wheels and tires. He even casts the valve stems into the 5 slots. The B.F. Goodrich are slightly larger than the super swampers. For size comparison, I put one of the larger FDDs on the right. I know one thing I didn't order enough of the super swampers. These are really nice. Perfect size I'm looking for. Thanks Joseph! 20220208_174807.thumb.jpg.70c4bfb5b3e07b55e2ef8d2f1d01bae6.jpg20220208_174845.thumb.jpg.53db26d0140a0f2598aed67cdffa6c87.jpg20220208_174921.thumb.jpg.e5107aabb12ae2f801a021657e5c60df.jpg
