Picked up some 1/16 scale Chevy Scottsdale (Swamp Monster version) and '57 Bel Air parts, a gallon bag filled with tires, an Ertl Farm Barge(!!) kit, the Maz Willys kit, and some nice Bridgestone Mud Dueler tires. I believe this is the first time I have ever witnessed neon/day-glo paint applied successfully, too.

Is that actually paint? I have a swamp monster kit that’s molded in pink and black. Box art is also pink and black, can’t get a pic of it, it’s buried in the stash.

Yes, the plastic underneath is black, from the first Swamp Monster issue. The plastic in the later release you have is very pink, I can confirm. ??

Got my Atlantis 1/16 Funny Car tire sets today. They look great and are a big help for those with bad Revell tires in their old kits.

And no, there is no lettering on them.

Went to HLL.  Deja vu all over again.  Walked out with what I walked in with.  Just as well, seeing as I paid a deposit for something else that will cost considerably more than a few kits.  And make a lot more noise when used.

Current issue Revell 77 Trans Am kit i purchased on eBay arrived today.

Wish I had grabbed some when Hobby Lobby had them. Although simple I always liked that kit.

Testors Ferrari 512S. NOS unmolested kit in perfect condition.

While it's a beautiful car in its own right, I'm already thinking of rebodying it as a 512M in Sunoco-Penske colors, or a 612 Can Am car, or even the Modulo show car.

If I live that long.   ;)

I haven't gotten anything today but I will be getting a built 1962 Rambler sedan by Johan on Saturday that I got off of E Bay. Ever since I paid off my personal debts last year, I've been buying vintage built model cars and trucks that I once couldn't afford. Now that I have the vintage models that I've wanted and on display, I have just enough room for a few more.  ?

Stopped by a couple LHS and found some Model Master Metalizer paint & a few bottles of Floquil(old stock but still usable) in the sale bin, may go back get more of the Metalizer. The Arii Nissan Bluebird kit seemed like an interesting kit & for $10 I figured why not!

The Model A Coupe will get a Y-block Ford instead of the Nailhead.

That’s actually one of the nicest 1/32 kits in the Arii line up - it’s not an ex-motorized one and has separate rear end and decent chassis detail. No engine though and sometimes the “glass” on those kits is thick and has lines in it. But a cool little kit for sure.

Made a nice little promo score today, first time in a long time:

They're a bit dirty and worn, but I think they'll clean up pretty well. I'm thinking of selling off the front row and keeping the '65 Grand Prix, '62 Electra 225, and turquoise '65 GTO in the back - not a huge fan of the '66s anyway, and if I'm lucky I'll break even.

Outstanding score--congratulations! If you do decide to do some flipping, I'd be interested in the '65 and '66 GTO hardtops, perhaps. Model on! B)

The U.S. is the only place (well North America) that shrink wraps kits.  Every kit, even kits imported from other countries (TamiyaUSA, MRC for Fujimi, etc). Most everything from Europe has those circle seals - RevellAG, Italeri, Heller, etc. Meanwhile Japan doesn't shrink wrap or seal anything domestically. Some hobby shops put banding around the boxes, but that's an individual decision.

Speaking of things from far off lands, this finally arrived yesterday.

I recall several years ago that the circle style seals were tried here in the US. I think the reason it was stopped was that it just wasn't enough of a deterrent for those with sticky fingers from getting inside and removing whatever they were after, Shame we have to live in a world where so many individuals behave in this fashion.

Went to Hobby Lobby looking for the Chevy, and got the GMC while I was there. 20220226_125211.jpg.1a35eb165ece7cd2084820f981377ddd.jpg20220226_125217.thumb.jpg.66e31ff83410915d741736e3a1d144a9.jpg

Did your Jimmy kit have a badly warped roof, like both  of the kits that I got at HL?

Revell Jag XK SS. Second one, this time as a donor to do a full detail D-type from the nicely proportioned ancient Lindberg kit.

Probably overpaid, as I understand it's going to be re-released in September or so, but instant-gratification, you know?

And a Fujimi Ferrari 365 Daytona Spyder. Pretty good deal on this one.

Ferrari 365 GTS4 Daytona Spyder 1:24 von Fujimi

One more...a Monogram '59 Chebby convertible. I've had a hardtop body shell with no guts, so this will take care of that. WAY under market price, too.

Picked up the GMC Jimmy from Hobby Lobby and an Aoshima Lambo Huracan along with an ICM Model T toy tonneau and issue # 212 of Model Cars from a LHS.

I can't fathom why this version of the Model T and the speedster version of it are about $20 dollars cheaper than the other versions.

Mine looks fine, but I didn't take it out of the bag and check the fit.

Well I think I’m nuts but I have in my possession a 1/8 lambo Miura. I really need to cut this out. I do not know where I’m going to put it after it’s finished. Cool kit. Not very many made. My friend Mark found it in Italy. I thought after the cobra , I’m finished with 1/8 for awhile. Guess not. I need help.

Mine did. These are recent eBay purchases. The '57 Chevy had the Bel Air body in it, not the 150. I emailed Revell to see if they can send me the correct body (it was factory sealed). The cat is one those old Aurora 1/1 scale models. She was complete except missing her brain.
