Back to my 57 Ford kick .. got these three pieces at Liars Show.  I don’t know who did the resin. It’s not Modelhaus quality. I was thinking maybe All American but he sold a full kit and this is just a body as you see it.

Funny thing, as we drove to the show my friend Bill and I were talking about how few kits we purchase these days. I remembered the days when I’d have bags full of stuff!

Then at the show we saw a younger guy carrying a bunch of bags. Bill said, “There you are!”

Recent mailman deliveries. Two for me and the Bugatti for my 13 yr old grandson. I've been hoping he'll catch the model building bug for some time now. Hard to compete with electronics...? he likes cars..lol so there's still hope.

Those Quickbuilds are great kits. And if he likes Legos. It just might get him into auto models.

I'm hoping he will take interest at some point. I wasn't aware that the quick builds where like legos until the kit arrived. Hopefully this type of kit will bring more new builders to the hobby.

Wow they pretty nice when built.  Did you polish the bodies or is that their natural Sheen? and thank you for sharing your builds Dave..

Pretty stoked on this, my friend got himself a pretty large pla 3D printer and he asked if there was anything model related he could print for me, i mentioned a desk organizer he asked for some measurements and bam.
Holds all my brushes, sanding sticks, files,  glues and thinners all in one convenient place.

And it goes well with my paint caddy/drawer liner haha.

The Jaguar and the Jeep are the two I really want to build, and guess which ones I can't find locally? LOL

I know the gentleman who's '55 made the cover of the Fine Scale Modelers contest edition.

I consider Rod a good friend, although we only see each other once a year at the NNL North show in Bloomington MN. :)

Great guy, and a great model!!

Saw it up close and personal at the NNL show last May.

Fabulous!

Another one of my holy racecar grails: the 1969 Nürburgring 1000 km Jo Bonnier/Herbert Müller Lola T70 Mk IIIB. I know this is a slotracer, but it has a near perfect body and will be turned into a static display model.

The past couple of days these two kit purchases showed up in the mail. The Firebird kit reminds me of a firebird redneck style, sorta like AMT Yankee Challenge kit. As for the Eldon. I had built one when they came out in '69. All I have left of that build is the engine with its golden pipes, the toilet seat and one tub that I cut and used as rubbish in a display scene which I named Garbeach for the garbage truck.

I got to see it in person at the last club meeting. It is indeed a fabulous looking model, and Rod is a very nice fellow.

Thanks.  Full interior and engine.  Somewhat of a downside, 1/35 scale.  But something out of my usual topics and interestingm

How is the quality? I know they released another version of this bus as well.
