Got this today. Hansa 281. Similar to my Gabbert in that you don't push the trigger down for air flow. You pull the lever back to begin air and the paint will start to spray as you continue to pull the trigger further back. I've seen this called a controlled double function. It means that the control lever is only pulled back in one direction, and air and paint mixing occurs automatically.

Hansa offers this AB in black and that is the one I wanted. I found this one used at a good price so I bought it.

I also picked up some parts for my H&S Infinity CR Plus, a couple needed tools and some plastic brushes to clean my ABs with.

Nice kits. I am hoping Hobby Looks gets the VW van..

Me too, but not holding my breath, LOL ? I'd love to see them get that '30 Model A too (I mean, they have the '29 Roadster, it only makes sense...).

Hi Jim. So the Hansa 281 operates in the same manner as a trigger style airbrush, but using a conventional lever instead? I recognize the needle packing screwdriver, but I am curious about the tool just to its right. Is that a nozzle wrench of sorts? I've thought about purchasing the ring for converting to a minimum capacity bowl, but not bought one yet. All ai all, some excellent purchases, especially that Hansa 281 model!

2 good looking cars. I was surprised I don't have the Leyton House car in my stash. Not sure I'd be able to match that color with any rattle cans anyway.

Brought home the Bronco half cab, Sandman buggy, and trailer kit, along with some more Tamiya paints and super glue to finish my 1/16 Minicraft Coke truck project I started in the ice age.

I don't have a trigger style airbrush but I have a few spray guns. It is similar I guess Bill. Pulling the trigger back slightly gives air. Continuing to pull it back paint starts to spray. Like a spray gun the further back the trigger is pulled the more paint volume will spray. I'm fairly certain Grafo ABs are the same. I have a Grafo on my list LOL.

The tool on the right unscrews most Japanese brand AB air valves.

I got the parts from SG. It's a 0.2mm nozzle but needles were out of stock. Guess I'll have to place another order. I got the small cup piece just to have.

A couple of recent cheapies picked up off eBay:

Having built Monogram's '55 and '57 versions it felt like I needed a '56 to complete the set. No fixed plans yet, maybe subtle lowrider style. I'm happy to add those wheels to the stash.

Seems like this is an older release. The Beatties cement that was in the box may help date it? I still have the brush-painted 7 that I built back in the '80s, but in need of refurbishment and reassembly. My thought is to cannibalise this new one for any replacement parts, then build a modified version out of the remains, maybe a fast road version or something silly like crossing it with an Ice T or dragster chassis.......

Last Sunday at our Motor City show I picked up a  carbon fiber decal sheet for the Tamiya Mustang GT4, a resin '50 Olds sedan delivery body, a Salvino's '71 Charger, a Hasegawa Nissan  CP91, an Aoshima Lexus 400, a Fujimi 250 GTO, and a Tamiya Porsche 956 parts kit. Plus I was gifted a started and very nicely painted Fujimi ( Testor re-box) Mercedes 500SL. And I sold 31 kits from my stash!

Ahh, the infamous military green Turbine. Slap a star on the door and call it done.

Years ago I bought the JF resin 06 Pontiac Firebird kit (converts the 06 Camaro to a Firebird). I never built it because I was looking for a set of larger diameter Firebird wheels for it. Well, today I bought these 20 inch Snowflakes off of a seller on Ebay. 20 inch should fit just fine. I may swap the tires for the ones in the Camaro. Not sure what I think of these resin tires yet.

Yes they are. The seller has quite a selection and they are $15.99 w/ free shipping! They were a total of $17.29. Trying to resist ordering some of their others.

Went to Hobby Lobby yesterday after picking up leaves in the yard. Just to see if anything was there and I needed a break after dark.

Ended up with a 70 Pontiac GTO Super Stocker I have been looking for that I forgot to pick up at the Detroit NNL.   The 71 Plymouth GTX (Is there a conversion to turn this into a 72 Satellite out there?). 1967 Mustang fastback and the Ford GT Revell kit.
