Those wheels are beautiful. I remember building that kit as a kid. The chain drive was the coolest thing. 3

TarheelRick Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 (edited) Stopped back by WalMart yesterday and they had a "fresh" shipment of models. Had the Black Beauty, Chevelle El Camino camper, 69 Cuda, 55 Nomad, John Wick Chevelle, some of the snap-kits and Craftsman series Pontiacs, also the Mach Won Mustang FC. The Mustang followed me home. Edited December 7, 2024 by TarheelRick

Dpate Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 (edited) HOT! Off the megahobby line. Should have ordered two of these beauties. After looking through the instructions - the way the side mirrors are put together is a first I’ve seen. Edited December 9, 2024 by Dpate 6

rattle can man Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 If I am correct, the Fruit Wagon is derived from the Double T kit. And elsewhere on this site, the engine is said to not be a correct Lincoln 2 1 1
1930fordpickup Posted December 10, 2024 Posted December 10, 2024 Yeah the engine in the fruit wagon is early to mid 60s tech, Designed for kids to put together. But now the kids are Seniors, Enough said. 2

Looks like I'll be a viable candidate again, but in the white styrene instead of the older black issue. Thank for sharing your builds and stoking the fire again Carl.. 1

I would definately say go for it. I wish I had another one to build the fruitwagon as a hotrod 2
CA Whitecloud Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 Found this on the stoop this morning. Ok, it was Ebay, but funny how I got this for 23 w/shipping USD and another listing had it for $53 free shipping. 4
PatW Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 Just scored on ebay UK, already started and in bits so it will very likely become a race car, possibly the first 500SL racer! 5

Nice find! Should be a fun build. Sure would be nice it Tamiya would do a reissue of their 90s kits. Some good stuff in there> 1
