Foxer Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 Now, that's a vehicle to be off-road with!I drove a deuce-and-a-half occasionally, usually when we needed some JP4 in Stuttgart.
Twokidsnosleep Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 (edited) That is awesome Dan, loving that rig. Just have to delete the "model" lady out of the pictureWere there BC plates on it??? Edited December 16, 2015 by Twokidsnosleep
W-409 Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 I saw this Buick Electra Convertible today here in Finland at shop parking lot. I wonder how good a Convertible car like that is on the winter though...
henry57 Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 On Lancaster Avenue, Devon, Pennsylvania There's one of theses in Henderson Ky also,
Tom Geiger Posted December 18, 2015 Posted December 18, 2015 Wow Henry! That's pretty cool. No doubt this was a design for a specific brand of gas. Does anyone know?
Tom Geiger Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 There's one of theses in Henderson Ky also, I consulted my "Go To Guy", Brian Austin of the MASSCAR Club, for all things of automotive architecture and he told me that these were Pure Gas Stations, built to a common plan. Here's a web page he sent me: http://www.roadarch.com/gas/papure.html
Foxer Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 (edited) Everything of lust is away safely in their garages here in the mountains. I was influenced due to a new GTI that's in the prep stage right now. The GTI rep said only one 2016 Golf R is allowed per dealer, so Golf R owners are the only one in any one town. This one, in my town, just popped up at a light today .. Edited January 12, 2016 by Foxer
Russell C Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 (edited) Saturday morning. Naturally, the thing zoomed by and ahead in such a way where I couldn't get a good look at it, and of course exited where I couldn't catch up. '39-ish Chevy grille and headlights, or something similar on the front...... Edited January 25, 2016 by Russell C
ChrisBcritter Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 (edited) Took this one the other day by the library - with the temperature below freezing and salt all over the street: Guess it's a CA immigrant like my Buick - despite the plates it had a rear license frame from Mission Viejo. It also had factory A/C. Also spotted this recently at the Baker's Square pie shop - talk about not practicing what you preach Edited January 31, 2016 by ChrisBcritter
Harry Joy Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Now THIS is a Mini Cooper. (The big ones on the road today bug me to no end.)
Joe Handley Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 Saw an Audi R8 out in the wild for the first time, kind left me..............Kinda Meh.........................
Crazy Ed Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 Now THIS is a Mini Cooper. (The big ones on the road today bug me to no end.) One of those was the First Car I ever wanted to Kill the Driver of - While He was Driving. Something about a Handbreak 90 degree turn at what seemed like 100mph on a T Intersection. Given your location Harry the Owner ought to change the Union Jack to Script that Reads "Want To See God, Hop In". That Car is Drop Dead Bee-U-T-FULL!
CometMan Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Saw an early 90s Dodge P/U today, you know the type, about 1/4 of it's body rusted away, painted "caution orange" with a black "01" and "General Lee" painted on the doors! Since this is an all-ages forum, and Greg or Harry would kick me off, I won't tell you what I really thought, but I'm sure his buddies and the "ladies of the evening" were super impressed though!!
Luc Janssens Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Saw this lot last Wednesday, when I was on route on business...
Tom Geiger Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 Saw this lot last Wednesday, when I was on route on business... Old US army units or just pickups painted that way?? The US military has sold off tons of equipment world wide. Saw a bunch of ex-military units on eBay Germany.
Luc Janssens Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 Old US army units or just pickups painted that way?? The US military has sold off tons of equipment world wide. Saw a bunch of ex-military units on eBay Germany.Ex US army, Tom.In the '90s they sold a ton of obsolete vehicles, as part of the withdraw of much of the American forces from Germany, due to the fall of the iron curtain.Come to think of it, they used to have a base, more of a depot realy, just 5 miles from our (then) house in Grobbendonk, Belgium, which they sold the the Belgian Army and is still in use.One of the reasons these trucks deserves all new tooling in both 1/25 as 1/35th scale...since they were used everywhere....so would be a good project for a company like Revell USA-Germany.
gbdolfans Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 (edited) Well, this is not on the road, but,is pretty nice.It has been sitting on this spot for at least 6 months or more. I am not sure of year. There is a for sale sign in window with a phone number. The interior is missing the back seat( has the back part). It is also an Automatic on floor. talon63 Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 Wow Henry! That's pretty cool. No doubt this was a design for a specific brand of gas. Does anyone know?architect Carl A. Petersen came up with the concept in 1926 for the Ohio-based Pure Oil Company. Hers's another one that still stands.
Rob Hall Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Amazon delivered a package to my house today, first time I'd seen an Amazon delivery van...a new Ford Transit w/ the Amazon 'A' logo stuck on the sides and rear door..chatted w/ the driver a bit, he said this week was the first week of them doing deliveries in the area, instead of the usual UPS, USPS and FedEx Amazon deliveries...
unclescott58 Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 (edited) I didn't see it today. But, exactly a week ago today. A Jeep CJ-10! I knew of them. But, I didn't know there were any in the United States. Talked th driver at a light. He said his was a former USAF tug. Very cool. Edited February 26, 2016 by unclescott58
Dann Tier Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 Now THIS is a Mini Cooper. (The big ones on the road today bug me to no end.) THANK YOU!! I totally agree!! If its NOT a BMC, its NOT a Mini. its a Medium.
Matt Bacon Posted March 3, 2016 Posted March 3, 2016 (edited) You certainly don't see many of these around in Leeds, England, I'll tell you... I think they're going for a "Cars" vibe ;-P The "weathering" looks pretty artful to me, too... bestest, M. Edited March 3, 2016 by Matt Bacon
Crazy Ed Posted March 4, 2016 Posted March 4, 2016 Not sure what was going on here. To many speeding tickets and Daddy wanted to slow the Kid down, or maybe the owner blewup one to many engines. Heck maybe Quicksand ! It's at the South end of St. David, on the East side of Hwy 80.
