What does your dealership do about "mandatory" dealer-installed stuff on the high-demand vehicles? The only vehicle we have any "mandatory" adds on is the Super Duty truck. They are in such short supply, and allocation is so weak for these in Canada, that we will not retail sell one of these trucks unless the customer is somewhat local (meaning we'll get future service business) and they do something in the business office; finance/lease, or extended warranty, or maintenance package, etc. Luckily, I run the fleet department so we don't have to worry about that stuff. Other than that, no mandatory extras. 1 hour ago, cobraman said: Wow ! That sure is not true around here. Are you having trouble getting the Maverick and Bronco ? Bronco is sold out for at least the next year. We're getting a lot of them, but everything is pre-sold. Maverick's are arriving on a regular basis. Most are pre-sold, but we are getting stock units for sure.
Joe Handley Posted January 21, 2022 Posted January 21, 2022 Just saw this last night, first time I’ve seen a “Safari” 911 in person!
steveracer Posted January 21, 2022 Posted January 21, 2022 Saw a base maverick yesterday. Steel wheels and all. Looked great in base trim. Once they are fancied up they look just like anything else out there.
Sam I Am Posted January 21, 2022 Posted January 21, 2022 If you strap your brand new 82 in flat-screen to the top of your jeep....you might be a redneck.

Tabbysdaddy Posted January 21, 2022 Posted January 21, 2022 Now here's a survivor. He left his headlights on, so I waited to see if he needed a jump. 1

Yeah, I rolled up a couple cars behind it at another light and spotted the tail lights and silhouette and thought I was seeing things, then I noticed the BFGs and the extra altitude, so I had to get a pic!
steveracer Posted January 22, 2022 Posted January 22, 2022 Electrics from GM. Wish the pickups were this clean of a design
Joe Handley Posted January 22, 2022 Posted January 22, 2022 Cool, I’m still waiting on the Rivian vans to show up at the Amazon warehouse here in town. They even have the chargers on hand for them already too!
NOBLNG Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 Two newer ones and this old beast! This is the second day in a row that they plowed our street.
MPi-KM Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 I saw a blue 1970? GTO Judge today on the interstate, the license plate said ALL RISE.? 1
Suburban_Hooligan Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 saw a huge wing with a Miata bolted to it 3
The Junkman Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 Got out of the house and went to Point Reyes Station, on the Pacific Coast about 35 miles north of San Francisco. Frou-frou weekend tourists and entitled bicyclists (oh, so many). Nonetheless while looking for parking I came across this beauty. The thing I liked best: this piece of rolling art was USED! A small bit of rock pitting on the front, there was minor denting above the driver's door latch, the dashboard was weatherchecked and the seats needed to be reupholstered. It looked just like what you'd think a 65 year old car would look like if you used it as designed. As we were leaving the town my wife said there was an old car coming around the corner in front of us but before I could get the cell phone camera into action, it was past. A Citroen Traction Avant in near cherry condition, all black with grey interior. Now for more pedestrian vehicles, this one from in front of the Home Depot in my town.
RSchnell Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 Interesting pair I spotted last night. You don't see many of these older LTD Crown Vics on the road like you used to. As for the second pic, sorry for the poor quality, it's a screen grab from my dash cam. Not sure what kind of car it was, but if you look close you can see the cords showing on the tires- and little wonder why! I hurried up and got around that piece before one of those tires blew.

ChrisBcritter Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 (edited) Went with my boss to an auction preview on Friday and saw this poor old dog: Complete car with V8 and power brakes; originally white over gold, but very very rusty. Roof, C-pillars and panel below back window were all rotten . Sold the next day - top bid $8000. Edited January 31, 2022 by ChrisBcritter 1
ChrisBcritter Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 And spotted this little cutie in town this morning: "Phone booth" Model A pickup with a Buick nailhead. Local car, I believe. 2

Hotrod 97 Posted February 4, 2022 Posted February 4, 2022 Saw these at the local transmission shop today. The transmission in my Grandmother's truck took a dump earlier in the week, and the shop had it done today. Is the 'Stang a Mach 1?
The Junkman Posted February 4, 2022 Posted February 4, 2022 Mustang markings look like a tape kit. If it was a Mach 1 it would proudly say that. This just says "Mustang". Like the color though.
espo Posted February 4, 2022 Posted February 4, 2022 Outside of the wrinkled bumper the International Harvester pickup still looks pretty good.
cobraman Posted February 4, 2022 Posted February 4, 2022 Didn't Mach 1's have a shaker hood ? That looks like the GT model.
