Maindrian Pace Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 Mesa FD wasn't having a particularly good day today. Lost a lower ball joint while turning into a supermarket a few blocks from my house. They were really cool guys, taking it all with a sense of humor. The biggest surprise for me, these ginormous paramedic units have upper and lower A frame front suspension. I mean, who knew? 1 1
RSchnell Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 Saw these VW van's yesterday while out running errands... 3
TonyK Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 Interesting bunch of VW vans. Had to laugh at the rusty looking one with the shiny clean moon caps.
mchook Posted August 1, 2022 Posted August 1, 2022 Yesterday I was at my fathers working on the old shoebox when a couple friends stopped by in a 34 Ford with a 383 stroker. 1
Modlbldr Posted August 1, 2022 Posted August 1, 2022 Saw this 68 Impala Convertible today. Nice! Later-
RSchnell Posted August 3, 2022 Posted August 3, 2022 68 or 69 Corvette sitting in a driveway. You don't see many black early C3's! 1

The reason you dont see many in black,is because they wouldnt let them be painted in black when they were new as,they were not straight enough for black, they had trouble with the "bonding strips" where the fenders were attached,it showed up bad in black.GM wouldnt allow them to go out like that.It is a strip about an inch wide that is just below the tops of the front fenders and quarter panels,I used to work on some of these back in the day,it was a softer area and the "filler" would shrink and look like BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH,we used to dig it out and reapply some fill and then they were good to go,this was on old used ones, not new ones,i worked in a body shop that did a lot of corvettes then, dont miss them one bit.?

That is interesting but not surprising. Wouldn't the same issues manifest itself with other dark colors such as Marlboro Maroon or Bridgehampton Blue? C3's are a bit out of my wheelhouse. I'm more familiar with C1's. Been messing around with those close to 30 yrs now. No birdcage to rust out but they still leak like any other early Corvette. ?
Suburban_Hooligan Posted August 5, 2022 Posted August 5, 2022 unfortunately no pic, but i saw a wheel lift tow truck on a flatbed tow truck. 1
89AKurt Posted August 5, 2022 Posted August 5, 2022 Saw this Rolls Royce the other day, finally downloaded and cropped off 89% of the picture. Never see this vintage of Rolls driving around, much less a convertible. The body color bumpers looks strange.
RSchnell Posted August 6, 2022 Posted August 6, 2022 Random pics from today. You don't see many of those Bronco II's on the road anymore, much less one that hasn't been totally thrashed. The 30s Dodge truck and '57 Ranchero have been sitting in the same spot for a good while, finally had time to snap a couple photos.
keyser Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 Interesting. Ranchero has 58 hood on it, Mustang GT wheels and caps, and a full windowed Econoline pickup hiding behind it.
NOBLNG Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 Fellow from my Hometown has owned this since 1974. 1
89AKurt Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 Prescott Antique Auto Club car show on Saturday, GTO Camino. Maybe I'll start a new thread of the show after I work it today. 1
Dpate Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 I wish i could of took a pic and i can't even find one, but a corvette i think one of the new ones and it looked like it has a glass bowl on top LOL.

Suburban_Hooligan Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 what looks like a very clean 71 super beetle
Perspect Scale Modelworks Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 1976 Eldorado convertible. Not sure what year this mustang is. This poor Benz W220. It's not a lowrider. The air suspension compressor or distribution block has died. Hope they're gassing it up to get to the shop. An old Benz W124 wagon. An some social commentary. 1
keyser Posted August 11, 2022 Posted August 11, 2022 Cool W124 wagon. Mustang has side markers, so '68. S class needs help as does the Eldo.
Matt T. Posted August 13, 2022 Posted August 13, 2022 (edited) Saw this on I-81 north of Harrisburg, PA last Sunday. Tires were IROK Super Swampers. Kids were excited to see a real live Bigfoot “in the wild.” LOL Edited August 13, 2022 by Matt T. Clarity 1
