Brudda Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 Torino cobra. The motor is not stock. Torino’s never had a boss motor in them. We are trying to squeeze it in.

Sam I Am Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 It started out in my driveway. 30k original miles. The carpet had a few stains and a rotted edge along the driver's sill plate. So I installed a new carpet kit and then took it for a nice drive. Nothing like fluid drive....behind a flathead straight eight, and wrapped up in a 1949 Chrysler New Yorker.

Suburban_Hooligan Posted June 26, 2021 Posted June 26, 2021 saw this yesterday on my way home from work. not the greatest pic's, but the best i could do in traffic
HomerS Posted June 26, 2021 Posted June 26, 2021 After going to a Cars & Coffee this a.m., my son and I were going trying to find the Sam's Club, he shouts out "Dad, there's the General Lee!" Like the dogs when you open the fridge, he has my full attention. He kept an eye on it while I found the turn road (shot the wrong way through a bank lot and small retail plaza) and caught up with it at a small plaza where the driver was going to grab lunch. He said it's about 90% authentic (no roll bar so the kids could use the back seat).....down to an operating CB radio and the Dixie horn. He said he ordered the General's items but wanted it to be more true so everything was painted on before the clearcoat. I don't think the Duke boys were running a 440 with dual quads. 1

Thanks guys, it was fun driving it along the coast in the warm weather. So the owner swapped out cars with me. This one is getting the front suspension rebuilt and factory optional Kelsey Hayes wire wheels. Yesterday, after enduring 110 peak temp where we live (seven miles inland from the coast), I took my lovely bride for a ride at sunset. That 60 degree weather felt soooooooo good. 1

As our 1965 Beetle was a 'C' reg that must be 1983 I think.

No, as per the link posted by @Earl Marischalit's a Bulgarian one built much later, presumably one of the "Apple" conversions mentioned in the link. First registered in 2001, DVLA seems to think it's black though... 1 1
